so as long as tumblr keeps this, here's the tumblr version of etiquette that was maintained when twitter's quote-retweets affected artist visibility/notes:

for art that someone has added reblog commentary to (or removed the caption from), reblog from the source

otherwise, avoid adding reblog comments to art (as this will affect the artist's notes/visibility)—utilize tags and replies to provide commentary (which artists will absolutely appreciate)

reblog comments are comments added to the body of a post, not the tags and not replies.

#turning notifs off for this post (if that even still works) bc i have things to do #and didn't expect so many people coming to tell me how broken it was #to rehash: from what i can tell reblogs with tags are still credited to OP as i have been reliably getting notifs of those #currently i believe reblogs from people other than OP are broken as they aren't showing up in my activity #or adding to the reblog count #i do Not believe this is how it is supposed to work based on the fact that i'm still getting Likes for those reblogs #and how the original post announcing this was worded #(those reblog counts are also just going into the ether like this so i really don't think that's how it's Supposed to work)#but i've been wrong before #dogshit site

#I keep seeing these videos of a guy who records himself dancing on Paris metro station platforms #and he'll zoom in on people watching in the background #the comments will always be really critical of anyone watching who doesn't seem to love it #and I'm just like idk man maybe someone is just trying to get to work and they don't want to be in your video #also you're literally on a train platform making people walk around you #it just feels so much like the attitude that more and more people have that they're the main character #and everyone else is just a background NPC #and it makes me feel like I'm going insane that I'm apparently the only person who has a problem with this #also the legality of it is irrelevant before anyone starts with the 'legally you have no right to privacy in public spaces'#legal =/= ethical #it just feels like there's sort of this expectation that people should be willing to participate in your 'content' at all times #and that they exist in this instagram reel just for the entertainment value rather than being #you know #real people

Chuckling to myself remembering the time I completely broke a scammer's brain by telling them I use Linux.

katsuki bakugo is the type of man to randomly announce he’s dating someone in an interview…

“mr.dynamight, any plans after this patrol is over?!”

he glares at the camera, shoving the lens right out of his face. “tsk—! fuck off, you money hungry extras! it’s none of your—”

the blonde pauses mid-rant, catching everyone off guard as he suddenly leans down.

“—actually, give me this crap!”

he grabs ahold of the no doubt expensive ass camera, essentially blogging on national television in an unfaltering angle zoomed right into his nostrils.

“i know yur’ ass is watching this, y/n, so answer your god damn phone already!!” he shouts, unknowingly becoming a worldwide meme the literal next day.

everyone’s jaws drop as the cameraman scrambles to catch the equipment bakugo tossed back like nothing.

“mr.dynamight, please elaborate! who is this y/n you speak of?!” they exclaim, mics quickly shoved into his face as the paparazzi lights began flashing for the latest hero gossip in town.

“hah?” he scoffs back, frowning like the answer is completely obvious—and like their the idiots for even asking such a thing. “my wife.”
