1987–2006 Raced from 1989 - 1994 Thoroughbred Stallion - Ireland

Snurge was named after a nickname his owner (Martyn Arbib) received while in school.

His first win came in the 1989 Criterium de Saint-Cloud, but he was disqualified and swapped places with the 2nd place finisher, Intimiste. He went on to win the St. Leger Stakes in 1990, Aston Park Stakes & Premio Roma Vecchia in 1991, Gran Premio di Milano and Canadian International Stakes in 1992, and he won the Grand Prix de Deauville in 1991 and 1992. He was retired after injuring himself in the 1994 Cumberland Lodge Stakes.

At stud, he sired over 300 Steeplechase winners, but none won at high levels. Snurge died at the age of 19 in 2006 from colic.
