My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of writing a novel-sized Les Mis AU where they're all astronauts in the near future. In this fic, Jehan and Feuilly are in charge of designing and building an autonomous rover (like the ones that have been sent to Mars). They kept arguing about what to name it--Jehan was in favor of elaborate classical references like "Hesperus" or "Perihelion." But when he wasn't looking, Feuilly hard-coded the rover to only respond to "Spot."
ahh love it!! (assuming that meta going around about “cerberus” essentially meaning spot is true, i’m gonna headcanon that jehan still insists on thinking of the rover as “cerberus”, with dogged determination.)
