Though I haven’t seen Taako’s character sheet, I don’t recall them mentioning that Taako’s a Sun Elf. As far as I’m aware he’s simply a High Elf, which are commonly depicted as having fair skin. The McElroys are fine with how the fans choose to depict their characters, that includes any skin colour, so be it white or brown or purple etc. What isn’t fine is fans attacking other fans AND the McElroys because others don’t see Taako and the other characters as the skin colour they favour.
On a side note, you do not need to add the commentary over the issue with the green skin and pointy hat as being anti-semitic, as I pretty much see this in every other post on Tumblr these days, so no, I was not going to ask.

OH YES! I’ve seen the J for Jox sweatshirt, and totally lost my shit when I did. It’s about dingdongdang time there’s some official non-Japanese merch of him (and Ninny!). Looks like they have an O for Oshun Oxtra sweatshirt too, that’s really cool!
I’ve considered getting one (the cat husband compels me) but the color and price tag aren’t exactly to my tastes, to be honest. Kinda sucks but spending €50+ on something I’ll wear as pajamas at most is kind of ridiculous.
It’s still amazing though and hopefully this is a sign that they’ll release more Jox merch in the future! (Maybe a mug? We can hope!)
