Characters: .Linda. a cute brunette girl, average height, and a large bulbous nose. .Andrew. tall, with curly hair, is her best friend and confidant. .Other guys at the party.
Linda realized she'd forgotten to bring the tissues when she was already arriving at the party. How had she forgotten? For days, she couldn't go 10 minutes without having her nose blocked in both nostrils. And in June. She ran her wrist under her nose, got out and checked herself in her car window. She had always hated her nose, so fleshy and bulbous, even though his best friend Andrew always says it's beautiful. Beautiful or not, she would have preferred a smaller nose now because there seemed to be no end to the snot it could produce.
She felt a hand touch her shoulder: it was Andrew. "Always looking in the mirror?" Linda ran her wrist under her nose "Doh... *snnrk* I was checking by dose, I have a cold. "Ugh, I'm sorry... but why did you come? You know we're going to the pool, right?" "Yeah, I kdow... but theh I'b goihg od vacation ahd I woh't see you agaih, I had to cobe here. Adyway, do you have ady tissue?" "Wow you sound really bad... and unfortunately, no... you know, it's June." "Fuck you, if I doh't fihd a sihgle dabh tissue I'll use your clothes." "Sexy... is it that urgent?" "*SDRKK.. a little." Andrew made a disgusted face and then laughed. "Come on, let's go now, the others are coming."
A group of their friends arrived and immediately started chatting on a sofa under the porch. Linda tried to say as little as possible, embarrassed by her incredibly stuffy voice. She also tried her best to keep the snot from running down her nose by sniffling as few as possible. She'd always found her sniffling noises embarrassing, cause they always sound so snotty... and every time she was sick in class, everyone turned to look at her when she sniffled. The problem, however, was that now her nose was really filling up; in fact, she was convinced that if anyone looked up, they'd see how full it was... so she nonchalantly put a hand in front of her nose, waiting for the right moment to escape. "Hey Linda!" ...holy shit... "How are you? I was waiting for you." It was Harry, a high school classmate, unbearable. "Fide..." for now, the snot was under control, but two days ago she wouldn't have gone this long without blowing her nose. "What are you studying now? How are you doing?" "Bath" "Bath?" "Doh, bathebatics..." She was getting really irritated. Then she sniffed heavily in front of him, and Harry was horrified even though he tried to hide it. She had found his weak spot. "Do you need a tissue?" "You doh't kdow how buch, do you have it?" "No, I'm sorry." She would have slapped him. Then Andrew intervened: "Hey, you have no idea what I managed to find in the house: look at this." Andrew handed her a new, unused tissue pack, full and all for her. "Oh, Ahdrew, I'd kiss you od the bouth, but thed I thihk you'd wake up with by cold toborrow." and he: "Don't worry! Pure chivalry!" and he left. Harry was increasingly embarrassed but still insisted: "Um... and what plans do you have for the future?..." But she immediately interrupted him: "Excuse be for a bobeht..." And for the first time, she was truly happy to blow her nose in the wettest, noisiest way. And it was quite a contrast to see such a beautiful, well-dressed girl blowing her nose with both hands so disgustingly and rudely in front of that poor guy. At first he was just uncomfortable but when he heard the noise, almost the sound of pure snot squeezing out of her stuffy nostrils and soaking the tissue, he barely had time to see a light yellowish color spread across the piece of paper before he turned around with a "see you later" and disappeared for the rest of the evening.
When she finished clearing her nose, she tried to breathe through it, but all that came out was a congested sound, but at least it wasn't full anymore. She threw the used tissue behind a bush and then went to dance inside the house where most of the people were. As she danced, she felt her nostrils slowly filling up, and she went to look at herself in the mirror: she definitely looked sick, her eyes were tired, she was breathing only through her mouth, and her nostrils were getting really red from all the times she'd rubbed them. She had to sneeze. At first she tried to wipe it away by rubbing her nose, continuing to dance with her friends, but at a certain point she had to move a meter away and sneezed openly on the floor. Her friends blessed her. "Allergies?" one asked. "Doh...*snrff, a dabd cold..." Andrew arrived, "Honey, maybe you should wipe your nose..." Linda touched her nose and, in a panic, realized that snot had dripped out without her noticing. She took another tissue from the pack and wiped it over her nose. She needed to blow it, but in front of everyone, she didn't have the courage. Time passed, and Linda began sniffling more and more frequently and more desperately, with sniffles that were once liquid, now thick and bubbling. She thought of nothing else but avoiding snotting every time she bowed her head or talked to someone.
So she went to the bathroom, determined to blow the nose she hadn't been able to do since the beginning of the evening; she felt really full and clogged. As soon as she closed the door, she took a new tissue and inhaled, then started blowing. There was a hissing sound, then nothing. She was completely blocked. After a while of trying to blow her nose with no success, she heard a knock on the door. "Linda, are you okay?" It was Andrew, at the most inopportune moment imaginable. "Not really." "Can I come in?" After all, he had seen her in worse conditions than a cold, so he opened the door. Andrew: "What's going on?" "I can't blow my nose, I'm so blocked and I'm getting a headache..." Andrew's eyes lit up. "Have you tried texting your nose? Can I?" And unexpectedly, he began to massage both sides of her nose with his fingers. He was about to stop when instead she began to hear a squelching noise as his fingers pressed against her wide, soft nostrils. It was really relaxing, if a little gross. She felt her thick snot loosen and start to drip. "Ahdrew, take your hahds off, I doh't waht to get by slibe ohn theb," and she sniffed very wetly. And that's when he surprised her even more, placing the tissue over her bulbous nose, holding it still. "Blow." She would have said no, but she absolutely had to get rid of all the stuff that was blocking her breathing. And he slowly began to soak the tissue. Her sinuses were clearing with a disgusting, creamy sound, but it didn't bother him. "Let's switch sides", he said, and folded the tissue, covering the unusable, soggy part. "You can continue." Linda wrinkled her nose for a decisive blow that would dislodge some more snot. She was surprised by the amount of slime her nose had been able to contain, and she was happy to have a big potato nose, otherwise she would have had to blow it all the time. When she finished, Andrew cleaned the two shoelaces that were stuck between the remaining tissue and her nose. "Wow, you're a snot factory." "Do you still fihd it sexy?" "A little," he said, smiling. "Let's look at the result." And he opened the tissue: inside was an incredibly thick, yellow-green mush. Where there was more of it, where Linda had blown the deepest, the snot was deep yellow, and had the consistency of honey. Linda: "Oh... it looks like carabel... this cold is worse thad I thought." Andrew: Maybe it's best if you don't go to the pool. And Linda: I thihk so too... *snnrgk
