         He’d been obnoxious again. Of course he had,          when did he ever stop? But when Lizzie stood          and smiled and laughed, well Fred could not          have felt more proud of himself… and when he          was tugged in by the lapels of his green jacket,          the trickster began giggling madly, thinking this          was going to be some sort of wrestling game!

         What he got instead was something he hadn’t          expected in a billion trillion years. A pause…          and he leans into it without really thinking. He          pulls back; grins slyly.

         ❝ Well, now… Now Snotface sees. Nobody              can resist Drop Dead Fred. ❞

❝ Hmmm ....Oh--       I wouldn't know about that, Fred.❞

    She fiddled with Fred's collar, fixing it like a would-be house-wife would do for her would-be husband. Only, she found this funnier. Her eyes fluttered up, taken by surprise that Fred didn't throw up and full-on retch. Was it like another dream sequence? Had something in her imagination configured him to give in?     Lizzie didn't even know anymore-- except that those soft,     solid lips of his made her swoon, and so she kept close to him.     but Fred was everything she was not-- a charismatic fool.     She didn't mind that one bit... at the moment.
