Phrunk - That Technology

The year has just begun and SNOE is ready for a banging 2018. Setting off the year are two quite young guys. Phrunk flashed the labelbosses instantly with a demo they sent containing two heavy weight dance floor bombs and got signed right away. First off we are met by the strong bass in “That Technology”. A monster of a track with a hard-hitting groove supported by seductive vocal elements will make a lot of dancers happy. “On Your Ass” is a high-energy funk machine with tight percussions and a catchy whirlwind of saw tooth bassline.

RYBO & Fritz Carlton - Eggo EP

For their last release this year, SNOE turns to the US and invites label friends and rising stars RYBO and Fritz Carlton. When these two quirky badass bros come together you know you are in for a treat, which is exactly what you get with “Eggo EP”. The title track strikes from the first beat hitting you with the strong and dirty synth twisting and turning along with the energetic percussions. “Sedated” has a drier style and lights up the dance floor with its intense, groove focused rhythms and excellent synth elements.

One of the hottest names in the electronic music scene, René Amesz, is back on SNOE with a full EP after his first appearance on the label last year. “When Tolerance Cries EP” is nothing short of a two tracker tech house groove monster, filled with energy. We had a little chat with him about his studio habits, music philosophy and guilty pleasures, check it out!

  How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard you before?

It’s music made by humans and computers. When listened to on a proper sound system you should be able to feel some banging in the stomach. Some sharp noises called hats and some funky percussion here and there to accompany all. :)

 What would you say is the most important to you regarding the music on your „When Tolerance Cries EP“?

To be honest….nothing….wanted to create something different than i normally do and wanted to stay funky and melodic. :)

How much time do you spend in the studio?

8 Hours per day, 4 to 5 times a week.

 What is your favourite toy for making music?

My SPL Vitalizer Pro MK2

 With whom would you like to spend time in the studio?

With my sons. For cool vocals hahahaha. But don’t wanna do too much collabs anymore.

 What is the one thing you can’t be without in the studio?

My cup of tea every morning.

 And what is the one thing you do not want in your studio?

When i’m in full concentration i can’t use my sons or wife asking me something hahahaha. Rarely happens tho.

 What are your guilty pleasures?

 Going out for diner too much. Costs a fortune. I do a lot of sports though so it’s not about that.

 What is your favourite Norwegian word? ;)
