the whole "consent is sexy" era felt very preformative (bc consent isnt about being sexy its a must for sexual contact) BUT the idea of Eric going further than planned with Assad in an interview, or in public (touching him, teasing him, maybe he's in kahoots with the interviewer to make him answer really personal questions, sharing things about him), and every now and again asking Assad if he's ok with all this, if he's enjoying it, and watching him blush and admit that yes, this is something he likes, while everyone is watching. He can stop Eric at any time, but he wont, and everyone knows its because he's getting off on it
