ive talked enough about it that it wont be new to you whatsoever but i am carefully handing you myshkin in exchange for a character you imagine as aromantic :D hes one of the most obvious examples ive ever come across in fiction in that he only conforms to the expectations of courtship and romance because others assume that he is in love, when in reality his feelings as he expresses them are purely platonic, familial, and sympathetic. his asexuality is pretty much universally accepted but i still often see the idiot described as a story about a love triangle (square?) at its centre, which always frustrates me given that his story only really makes sense (i would argue) from an aromantic perspective!
i really need to catch up on my reading so i can meet your blorbo! but i believe & agree with you 100%. myshkin aro.
in return, i offer you: dale cooper. i think he feels a deep platonic love, but i do not think he experiences romantic attraction! i dont have much evidence to argue this with outside of the attempts to give him a love interest in season 2 are just... not very good. they feel out of character to me. and i think it would be nice to have a well-loved character be aro for once!
One thing I do like about the stuffiness that comes with colds and allergy flareups: When you can breathe a bit better, the creaking sounds of air trying to work through congestion
