A Fenty Face .....

Hi guys!

As promised here is aa makeup look using new products from the Fenty Beauty Christmas collection. Since I was getting ready for work I didn’t go too heavy with the eye look but i did manage to use all the shades in this look so let me chat you through it!

On my lips I’m wearing a new gloss bomb shade called Cake Shake on my lips which gives your lips a high shine finish and the shade is like a very subtle bronze nude shade. I did one swipe just for a subtle shine but like I’ve said before it you want to have more pigment to the gloss just add more. When I’m doing a pretty eye look I like to have a subtle lip so it doesn’t take attention away from my eyes speaking of eyes lets chat you through what I did.

After applying my Pro Filt’r eye primer i started off with mixing the shades Concrete Lavender and Honey Splash which are the matte lavender and yellow shades and blended them through my crease for a transition shade. Then I took the shade Royal Dazzle which is the glitter gold and applied to my inner corner and blended it to the centre of my lid. On the centre of my I then applied Blood Moon which is a beautiful red glitter and blended that with the golden shade to made a pinky tone. Using the shade Brownie Babe which is a burgundy brown shade I apply that to my outer crease to warm up my eye look which is a much prettier colour then I expected. Lastly I use the purple shimmer shade called Violet Vibez in the centre of my lid blending with the red eyeshadow.

And there we have my makeup look! The glitters in this palette really surprised me because the formula is much more creamier than I was expecting compared to older glitters in snap shadow palettes. I’m really happy with this look because when i first used the shades I wasn’t sure what eye looks I could create but once I started it all applied together beautifully! And now i think it might be one of my favourite snap shadows and like I said before the packaging is the same as the normal snap shadows so you can still mix and match palettes.

Every year Fenty Beauty bring out Christmas gift sets which I get so excited about!!!! Last year I got the mini gloss bomb giftset and it was one of my favourite things Fenty has ever released so when I found out a new collection was part of this years range I had to visit the sight and in true me fashion it didn’t stop there of course. I picked up gift sets one for lips and one for eye so lets get into it!

First off lets chat about the Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Holo'daze Edition Mini Gloss Bomb Collection , £30.00. This was the reason I was on the Boots website in all honesty. Like last year this gift set gives you 4 new mini Gloss Bombs shades designed for all tones. These glosses are the most high shine glosses ive ever used in my life. In all honesty I try out a lot of products but for glosses I always come bac to my gloss bomb’s because they are just perfect from the formula, shade range and pigment. These glosses have a sutble peach- vanilla scent and a massive wand so one swipe gives you perfect application. Honestly once you put these glosses on your lips look fuller which I find so odd because I don’t wear them with a liner or anything like that and they just leave my lips looks lush as hell! In this limited edition gift set you get 4 new shades which are Cake Shake a shimmering bronze, Baby Brut a shimmering gold , Taft tea$se a shimmering coral and Ruby Milk a shimmer deep plum shade. When you first look at the sets you gravitate towards the wearable shades but once you try them all you realise how wearable the whole collection actually is. The pigment is subtle but easy to build up if you wish to. I love this set and I think it’s a great edition to the gloss bomb collection. I’m hoping this time they add some of the colours to the permanent collection like they did last time with Hot Choclit and Sweet Mouth.

Next up we have a giftset I wasn’t expecting to pick up but loved the look of it. We have the Fenty Beauty Full Snap Eyeshadow & Mini Mascara gift Set , £28.00. In this set you a special edition snap shadow palette and a mini original mascara which I needed a new one of so it kinda worked out we’ll really. The Holo’daze eyeshadow palette comes with 6 shades in true snap shadow design. This palette includes 3 mattes and 3 shimmer shades. The shades included are: Violet Vibez (purple duochrome), Royal Dazzle (gold glitter), Blood Moon (red metallic), Concrete Lavender (gray-pink matte), Honey Splash (peach matte), and Brownie Babe (mauve-brown matte). It looks like a random selection of shades but when you actually the shades and blend them together it gives you this almost pink, golden purple eye look that is really cute! Like I said this mascara also comes with the classic Full Frontal mascara in mini size, this mascara is great at giving your eyes that natural looking volume that gives your eyes a gorgeous lift without making you look like you ave spider lashes.

I really love the gift sets they’ve designed this year and tomorrow I’ll be posting pics from a look I did using both the shades and gloss bombs so you can see them in all their glory. Ohhhhhh snap!

End of last year Fenty Beauty launched their Snap Shadow Mix & Match collection and at the time this was huge deal because they were launching eyeshadow palettes with a very unique twist. The idea behind this range was giving you the choice of what palettes you like or want to use and pairing them together to make the dream combo, the palettes have little gaps at the back so they click together making a double sided palette. I love this idea and think its really unique. The palettes themselves have been specifically designed to each have their own colour story and have 6 shades each. In a interview Rihanna said she purposely picked colours that people would actually use instead of big palettes where you use 30% of the colours included. 

The collection includes:

1. True Neutrals - everyday nudes

2. Cool Neturals - cool toned classics

3. Deep Neturals - spicy warm tones

4. Rose - romantic pinks

5. Peach - warm peach nudes

6. Smoky - smokey eye essentials

7. Cadet - Camo inspired earth tones (don’t have)

8. Pastel Frost - shimmering pastel pops (don’t have)

I love playing with these palettes because I don’t get overwhelmed with colour selections  and it’s makes the process a lot quicker. So i wanted to show you a look I did with palette 5 peach. This palette is very warm toned focus and is bascially a very orange shimmer based look. This look is very quick and easy to do, i basically started off using the darkest matte orange in my crease and blended that out. Next I look the lightest orange shade and applied that to my lid and lastly used the brightest organge shimmer on the centre of my lid and its just that easy.

Obviously I went back to the Fenty Beauty counter and yes things were purchased, let’s be honest we both knew this was going to happen. Quick recap for those who don’t know Fenty Beauty have released a new collection of eyeshadows called Snap Shadows where you have 8 mini palettes and idea being you pick two favs and they click together making your dream combo. It’s a brillaint idea since they are literally giving you the powder to pick exactly what you want. Last time I bought 1 True Neturals and 4 Rose which are the neturals colours and the pink coloured palettes. 

This time I decided to go for the Warmer toned eyeshadows in the collection. First off we have 3 Deep Shadows which are the deeper warm toned colours ( i would almost say like a mini naked heat palette but the best colours) ,this palette has 2 shimmer shades and 4 matte shades. I love this palette and was one of the original ones I wanted to buy instead bought 4 Rose. This palette looks a little intense at first but when you’re actually playing with the colours you realise its more of a buildable forumla instead so it’s a lot easier to play with and create looks. My favourite shades in this palette are Heavy Cent ( shimmer metallic orange), shots fired ( burgundy purple) and smash or pass (darker glitter shade), they are all so fun to play with and so easy to blend. 

I also picked up the palette 5 Peach which I think compliments the 3 Deep Neturals perfectly since they are similar shade tones but lighter shades. This was a palette I wasn’t really interested in at first but when I saw it in person and swatched it my opinion completely changed. It’s a palette that you can actually create a lot of looks with whether you’re going for a bold sunset eye or a nud shimmer look, there is lot’s to do with a palette like this. and like I said earlier mixing palettes 3 and 5 you get the perfect collection of warm toned colours.  I have two favourite colours from this palette which are both shades on the left side of the palette first is the peachy pink shimmer shade called Bellini Baby and the matte version below it called Peach Me. These are the two colours I’ve used the most.

I love these palettes and will be posting a look using 3 Deep Neturals tomorrow to show you what it looks like on the eye since this palette can look intimidating.

After showing you the 2 new Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows I picked up yesterday I wanted to show you a make up look using the 3 Deep Neturals palette. When you first look at this palette it can look a little intense but I wanted to show you a look I’ve been doing recently which is a mixture of bright and deeper tones.

For this look I started off with the shade Nudy Butty across my crease for my transition shade which is the nude shade on the top left corner of the palette, this shade is perfect for warming up your eye but isn’t too intense. Next I use the shade Fiya Freak on the centre of my lid to throw a pop of colour and this shade is the orange on the bottom left of the palette. Now I use the shade Shots Fired which is the burgundy shade in the middle on the second row through my crease and outer lid to deepen the look. Lastly I used the shade Heaven Cent which is the shimmery orange on the top row in the middle on the centre of my lid on top of the orange previously put on my centre. I then take my Real technics buffing eyeshadow brush just to blend the look together and take away any harsh colour and there we have it!!

I find using this palette a lot easier then I assumed I would since the colours can look a little intense at first but honestly I am loving this palette, I think so far this palette and the rose palettes are my favourites to use. I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials on how to get these looks so I will be posting more detailed tutorials as I get better at them.

Last year was the first year I actually got to try out Fenty Beauty products and as we saw from my many reviews I tried a whole bunch from the collection and loved it. On the 26th December 19, Fenty released their newest eye creation the Snap Shadows (£21.00), the collection has 8 different palettes consisting of 6 shades each and every palette has a different colour story. The idea being you pick your two favourites palettes and they then click together making your dream combo palette. I love this idea since you gives you complete control on what palettes you actually want to use and put together. What I love most about this selection of palettes and colours and is that each palette only has colours that you would actually use because we’ve all bought palettes in the past where we use like 60/70% of the colours and the rest is left untouched.

For my first purchase of the palettes (there were also on offer when you purchased 2, I believe you got £4.00/£5.00 off ) I decided to get one fun coloured palette and one neutral palette just so I would get good use of them and could mix together. When I saw all the swatches on the Fenty Instagram account I loved 1 True Neturals which is the 1st in the 8 palette collection and as you can see it is a real nude neutral shaded palette with a mixture of matte and shimmers. It has the perfect mixture of light nude shades and then deeper tones so every skin tone can use the palette. I have been using this to make a nude smokey eye with a shimmer in the centre of my eye and brown shades mixed together on my crease. The colours blend so effortlessly and if you’re a fan of Fenty’s eyeshadow formula then you’ll love these even more.

Like I said I wanted to get a neutral coloured palette and then a fun coloured palette so I then picked up 4 Rose which is a gorgous palette full of pink and burgundy shades. This palette was also one of the first to grab my attention since I’ve really gotten into pink eyeshadows the last few months. This palette has a mixture of eyeshadow formulas giving you matte, shimmer and a glitter. These colours are my favourite to play with and basically match all my wardrobe as well.

The best things about all these palettes are they click together, you pick two palettes you like and then push their backs together and it makes the perfect duo palette. This idea is brilliant with the exception of loose eyeshadow palettes this is the first time you can customise mini palettes and put your favourites together. This is also ideal for travelling since you no longer need to bring a big palette with you to use your favourite colours. I think marketing wise the whole design was a great idea from Fenty and is very unique which of course so is the brand itself. This year they are FINALLY releasing a mascara to go into their brand which I’m so excited to get my hands on.

Can’t wait to see what else Fenty release this year.

After showing you the Snap Shadows in yesterday’s blog I wanted to show you a look I’ve been wearing using the palette 4 - Rose 💗

I’m a little obsessed with this palette and it was one of the first Snap Shadow swatches I saw and straight away was like yep I see it I like it I want it (I’ve been listening to a lot of Ariana lately 😂). For this eyeshadow look I started off wearing the shade Sleepova (pale pink) all over my lid. Then I use the shade LiL Miss (bright pink) all over my crease and then mixed it with Spice Trip (brown) in the crease to deepen the colour. Lastly I used the glitter shade Diva Feva on the centre of my lid to add some shimmer.

In the spirit of having a Fenty Face I then decided to try a little experiment and see what it would look like if I mixed the two Fenty foundations Pro Filt’r and Pro Filt’r Hydrating foundations together. The hydrating foundation is the perfect shade for me (120) but the original formula oxidised on me a little so it goes a bit darker on my skin after a while. A lot of people said mixing the two together actually creates the perfect combo so I decided to give it a go. I have to admit the foundations blended together perfectly leaving my face with a full coverage finish that actually didn’t oxidise on me which is the first time it’s happened so I was over the moon. I have to admit recently I’ve been loving the hydrating foundstion because you still get amazing coverage but it doesn’t feel as thick on the skin. I’ve ever used up my Fenty concealer while doing this look which is a long time coming since I’ve had it since June 2019 so I’m not surprised it finally died.

I also finished this look with the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip paint in the shade Unbutton which is a gorgeous nude shade that I really need to wear more often. I love this formula because it’s so long lasting on the lips but doesn’t leave your lips dry at all. When I finished this look I decided not to wear eyeliner or mascara and I have to admit I love how much brighter my eyes look. Think I might have to do this more often.

As you may know recently I bought myself some of the Snap Shadows by Fenty Beauty and I wanted to post a look from each palette so here is my look from 1. True Neturals which is the first palette from the collection. This palette is a mixture of nude shades for various skin tones.

I Love using this palette for soft eye looks but today I decided to be braver and play with the deeper tones creating a look I didn’t think I could pull off. I decided to try out a smokey brown eye with a golden shimmer on the centre. Like I said not my normal look but I wanted to go a little bolder today.

So I started off using the deepest brown shade called Affogtao all over my crease to deepen my eyes. Next I used the orange toned brown called Cumin Get It all of my lid (such a rich toned colour I loved using). On the my inner lid I used the lighter gold shimmer tone called Velvet Cuffs and on the outer lid I used the slightly deeper gold shade called Tequila Nite and then blend together. On my lower lash line I mixed the two shimmer shadows together and followed by water line. Lasting I used the palest shade Nookie Rookie under my brow bones, this is something I always do at the end of a look so I can tidy up any mess I’ve made as well with the eyeshadow shape.

This look was so different and pretty I didn’t even bother putting on mascara that day which is really odd for me since I adore mascara. But when I finished the look I just didn’t feel like it needed it and it was pretty enough by itself. As I’ve said before what I’ve said about these palettes the most is that each palette only has colours that you would actually use for a look whereas we’ve all had palettes in the past where we’ve used like 40% off the shades and never touched the rest. I really love the colours they’ve selected for each palette since you can see they’ve really thought about what colours everyone actually needs vs what just gets thrown in a palette.
