NIGHT TIME SNAKE VISITORS So with the warmer weather, tiger snakes are more active at night so I'm finding large tiger snakes like this lady here entering homes in the Nillumbik, Banyule and Manningham, Whittlesea...basically all of Melbourne areas. So when you get up from the couch during commercial to get something from the pantry, keep in mind you may find a very big tiger snake... crawling on your rice bag on the ground eating a mouse. That certainly was a shock for a certain unnamed individual in Park Orchards just off Knees Road! I also caught a tiger snake in a front yard in Alphington late in the evening for a fantastic family. BEST PART OF MY JOB - SNAKES UNDER THE FRIDGE People I've caught snakes for regularly say to me that they can see the passion I have for my job in society. I rescue snakes from people and dogs, and rescue people and dogs from snakes. I love what I do and every day is full of different adventures. The best part of my day however is that I get to share it with my best friend Aishah Pelley (Daughter No. 2) who is thriving as a junior snake catcher and doing really well at it. Together we: 1. Train with snakes - catching, handling, feeding etc. 2. Train dogs to avoid snakes 3. I teach her business, migration law etc as well. 4. Look after the household as a team.
