Itty bitty little DeKay’s Brownsnake. What a cutie! <3
A beautiful Eastern Brown Snake from #Redbank 😁 This cheeky bugger found his way into our client's bathroom! They wisely closed the door, jammed a towel underneath, and gave us a call. Safely moved to the creek down the street 🐍🐍🐍 Plenty of animals looking to cool down in this heat, keep screens and doors shut during the warm seasons to avoid scaly visitors 😁 For any #snakey enquiries call Snake Out Brisbane - 0456 880 903 🐍🐍🐍 #snakeseason #snakecatcher #snakeremoval #brownsnake #wildlife #Brisbane #Australia #snakesofig #snakesofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram #wildoz #nature #BNE #QLD #elapid #snakes (at Redbank, Queensland, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5WrSKKgiWz/?igshid=1at74x6bqfavd
sleepy noodle friendo in my compost this morning I can’t know for sure but I’m certain this is the same brownsnake that I mistook for an earthworm 3 year’s ago and have encountered repeatedly ever since

Common Brown Snake Pseudonaja textilis textilis
A long slender commonly (like the name suggests) snake reaching lengths of 1.8 metres & even larger ones have been spotted. Though they can vary in colour , their complexion normally sticks to a monotone brown .
Extremely alert and fast moving, has allowed them to evolve into the Apex predator of all Eastern Australia.
Found all over Eastern Australia in a diverse range of environment from dry areas to water cause swamps. This indicates the strong vertaliasitc traits of the brown snake. Swan, GW, 2013. Photographic Guide To Snakes and other Reptiles of Australia. 1st ed. Australia: New Hollands .
