HELLO Dying. "the Snail Person". Do... you know me first as the snail person?? that's wild Basically like. A while ago I became obsessed with the image of a snail infected with parasite - a green banded broodsac. The parasite makes the snail go out into the open intentionally, so that birds eat it. Its like... the same level as the cordyceps fungus to me. It's SCARY Anyway I started using the snail as a recurring motif in one of my fics, but before I had started posting it mutuals on here were like "what the fuck are you doing", bc out of nowhere I just started reblogging posts about the snail And I found it funny, so 🐌

Right now, the Vietnamese giant magnolia snail [bertia cambojiensis] is the one on the mind. If my memory is correct, they are one of the largest globe-shelled snails on the planet. :]
