Now. The Axum in the Observatory message seemed to talk about the importance of the Trees. I might recall it wrong, and please feel free to correct me, but it almost sounded like they expected the Architects to catch quickly on their relationship with the Tree.
And it hit me.
They kinda look similar, they both "sustain" other lifeforms and maybe that's why the Architects didn't need a full explanation about the Axum relationship with the Tree.
Maybe it will be rewritten in the final release, but with all the callbacks to previous games, I thought it was interesting.
In my head I think these two have a deeply (Ryley-driven) contentious relationship, but my Robin rig isn’t finished and I think Al-An deserves to haul ass sometimes regardless. Al-an’s coming along nicely and will hopefully be ready for release soon, with addition objects in their arms, as well as the Architect skeletons and organs!
Additionally, I’ve been upscaling the textures for everyone, so expect to see a crisper Ryley when Al-An is put up! I’ve been working on a more original texture for him too, one that I’m sure all 5 of you have been interested in! :P If I have the time, I’d like to go back and dejank some of Ryley’s weightpainting but that’s a major commitment, so don’t hold your breath.
