Thank you for enjoying these! These Recolor sets may represent the end of an era: I don't expect new discoveries of vintage SMT art to be found for a long time, if ever. Through a combined community effort, what's (probably) a complete record of a series' artwork has been documented and preserved!
I just realized something really funny when replaying Persona 5.
Okay, at the start of Persona 5, the Metaverse app appears on Joker's phone, and is weird and creepy and suspicious, and Joker deletes it right away. Standard procedure nowadays. But it's magic, so it keeps coming back.
Meanwhile, all the way back in the first Shin Megami Tensei game, the hero gets a weird email saying that demons have invaded and the only way to defend yourself is to download the weird program conveniently attached. To be fair, this was before phishing. And there's one guy who just deleted the email, saying you can't download just random things off the internet.
(I actually have a fanfiction where Kazuya gets phished and loses his bank account info. But he gets better).
i couldn't stop thinking about this
John megami tensei the first

So I started playing SMT1 for myself and this came to mind
I watched a playthrough of it 500 years ago and finally decided to play it. It has certainly been an experience. It’s actually been really interesting and fun to play. Relying on my party members in an mainline SMT game?! Now, that’s unheard of. I’m level 15 and he’s starting to pull his weight in the party. My main motive for playing it was to refresh my memory on the story.
man this is some third chapter
smt!
