Carina asks for the Straw Hats help to deal with slavers who have decided to run off her ship. Robin and Sanji go undercover as buys and all hell breaks loose, when it turns out Smoker is up for auction.

When he stepped into the kitchen, the fragrances of the Christmas lunch leftovers welcomed him.   Sanji smiled while unwrapping the dark chocolate Katakuri had given him and Smoker for Christmas. Even if he had chosen a different career, he had always been a good cook. He broke the thick bar up into small pieces, put them into a small pot, and added a glass of whole milk, two spoonfuls of sweet cocoa, and a pinch of cinnamon. Then, he poured the hot chocolate into two cups: a black-spotted one for him, and a white-spotted one for Smoker. They were Law’s presents, and they had come in a box wrapped in recycled paper.   Sanji observed the two cups, and after a moment he added a few drops of liquor in Smoker’s drink. Finally satisfied, he returned to the lounge with the two steaming cups in his hands.   The lights were off, and Smoker was sprawled on the couch, waiting for him. Sanji gave him his cup and Smoker nodded in thanks. Then, Sanji sat down on the couch and curled up on his lover’s lap. With the hot cocoa in his hands and Smoker’s warm body against his back, he didn’t bother to hold back a contented sigh.   They were both wearing comfortable clothes: Smoker looked cosy in his red nightgown coat (Luffy’s present), and Sanji was sporting dark blue overalls over a loose yellow shirt. Not his usual style, but Usopp had given them to him together with a “you need to relax sometimes” message written on a handmade card. Sanji chuckled inwardly. His best friend knew him well.   “Is he still angry at us?” Smoker asked, sipping some of his hot beverage.   Sanji searched for Nekomamushi’s golden eyes until he found two small spotlights pointing at them from the cat bed under the low table. “Given the way he’s glaring at us, I would say that he is.” Their old fat cat had tried to steal some of the lasagne he had cooked earlier that day, but Sanji had stopped him just in time.   “Gluttonous cat,” Smoker deadpanned while sipping some more of his drink.   “And you say that while drinking hot chocolate?” Sanji teased him. “But better start watching the movie now, or it’ll get late.” He pressed play on the remote, and the film started. Sanji and Law starred in it together: they were professional actors, even if at the beginning of their careers.   They watched the movie in silence until Smoker commented, “You got better,” at the overly dramatic scene of Law’s character trying to keep Sanji’s one conscious while working to stop the bleeding. Sanji’s character had fought and lost against some enemy pirates and was still wearing that ridiculous outfit inspired by Japanese superheroes live-actions.   “Thanks,” Sanji replied quietly. Unlike Law, he liked to watch his own movies to improve his acting. He was a perfectionist, after all.   The movie continued with more action scenes and even some attempt at romance when different characters—the protagonists’ allies and not enemy pirates as the ones they had fought before—started flirting. Right now, their crewmates were watching them with a mix of horror and amusement on their faces.   Smoker was always expressionless while watching movies, but Sanji bet he looked like them inwardly. Predictably, not long later he muttered, “However, the plot is all over the place.”   “I’m just an actor,” Sanji replied. “Go complain with the scriptwriters about that.”   “I’ll probably do it.”   Sanji rolled his eyes.   After that, Smoker let him watch the rest of the movie without further interruptions, but he missed the ending since he fell asleep in his lover’s arms.

Isn’t that crazy? Anything can lead to new otp if you try hard enough.

Sanji is a smoker so is Smoker except with cigars and by… nature of Devil Fruit. A lot of people complain about the stench of smoke on Smoker, but like, not to his face obviously but Sanji doesn’t mind at all. He kind of likes it too because the smoke on Smoker is so different to cigarette smoke or wood smoke. He thinks it a nice smell.

Smoker likes the height difference between them and how different their body shapes are.
