Minerva sucked on air. As a medic she had sworn an oath to keep her patients medical information between them, but this...

"He'll likely find out sooner or later." She said carefully, "But it won't be from me."

Smokescreen loosened his grip on the edge of the berth.

"Thanks." He sighed. "I promise I'm not going to hide it from him I just... need time to deal with this myself."

Minerva gave him a sympathetic look and shifted her gaze back to her monitor where the small blip next to the scan of Smokescreens spark remained.

Smokescreen was carrying. As far as Minerva knew he wasn't conjunxed.

Prowl was going to freak out. He was going to go absolutely off the handle. Absolutely metal.

Lol yeah. Smokescreen gets sparked up on one of his little outings with Devcon. He want time to get into contact with Dev and tell him what happened. He actually winds up taking him to task about it.

If they're going to continue this relationship then Devcon needs to be there. Smokescreen intends to keep the sparkling regardless if Devcon stays or not, but if he chooses not to support them then they are, respectively, over. He doesnt expect Devcon to conjunx him just help him raise the child.

He does also tell him that he hasn't told anyone about them yet. Not Prowl or even the medic who looked after him. So... So if Devcon doesnt want this, any of this, then hes free to go no strings attached. He won't tell anyone it was him. They can even continue to be friends. Just not anything more than that.

Course he didn't need to say all that. Devcon just froze up after being told about him being sparked and is just processing. But no, yeah, hes totally willing to stay in one place if its to look after Smokescreen.

So yeah happy ending.

Oh and Prowl does absolutely "go metal" but he does calm down upon finding out Devcon is sticking around. And you bet hes making sure Smokescreen's carrying is as supported as possible (his own experience being so bad). I think it might be to the extent that Smokescreen has to ask him to stop being quite so.. clingy? Like he gets why hes so worried, but Smokescreens safe and surrounded by medics and people who can help him. He's not on his own.

Just a very sweet thing all round

Like he's not a con and in terms of values hes still way more an autobot than anything, and he still maintains a fondness for a few autobots (namely Smokescreen). But he's cut himself off from their direct authority over him.

Bounty conflicts between him and Lockdown could be fun to see. Lockdowns all about doing anything for that money, while Devcon has way nobler aspirations but just doesn't care how he accomplishes them.

He may even have non-cybertronian allies he's teamed up with. In canon he had slizardo, though it didn't last lol. Still it's a point of consideration. Especially when he reunited with smokey.

Hell when he and smokescreen DO reunite it could play just like old dramas with an old romantic flame returning from the past and bringing troubles with them. 💙
