Traditional English smocks
A little something I drew today in relation and tribute to @beautifulmysteriouscatgirl's newest and third episode of her exciting Smiling Critters Series😁Featuring DeerDelight in her own school smock, since the Critters will be attending school in this episode and she'll be a part of it!🤩✨ As seen here👈🏻Related to the smock and 'Sunny Smiles' school rules :3 Ooh, what a true honour it is, since I am HUGE fan of this series!🥰And Dee looks super adorbs!😚💕The mint jade green really suits her~🤭I also designed her own school bag that she wears on her back too🎒🦋
Hope you all like, especially you, Kati!✌🏻😊🫂I had fun making this little piece~💖😉
*~Reblogs are also deeply appreciated as well, so please do reblog as well as like! Thank-you kindly!~*

Princess Marie d'Orléans in Her Studio
Artist: Ary Scheffer (Dutch, 1795–1858)
Date: c. 1838
Medium: Oil on fabric
Collection: The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Description
Scheffer frequently portrayed his favorite pupil, the Princess Marie d'Orléans (1813-1839), daughter of King Louis Philippe and a prominent sculptor. As proof of her dedication and talent, she wears an artist's smock and holds a chisel. Seen nearby are several of her works, including her model of her most famous sculpture, a stoic depiction of Joan of Arc.

Day 2774 Paintmaster Sheo
Fashion show of a humble maid
@mermaidslabyrinth, @vhagar-balerion-meraxes Since we've been talking about historical clothing
This is such a cool project! And it would seem that the Greens may just be saved from poisoning themselves with the Hightower house colour :'D I'll be curious to dig through all the extra links to see if there's any more information on how such a brilliant shade of green was accomplished. I've dyed yarn with woad so I can see how you could get such a gorgeous green by mixing yellow into that. I believe weld yellow mentioned in the video is from dyer's weed(?) but the language barrier is kicking me hard here with some of the more spesific terms. :') Referring to our earlier conversations, maybe the Hightower green is gained with indigo mixed with what ever yellow is available in Old Town. Which is all the yellow, yellow is the colour you get out of most plants so now they just need to get their hands on something that gives them the desired dark hue of blue. Thank you for coming to my late night Liinu ponderings ^^
