It’s Halloween! This is just a list of different Newsies ships and what costumes they do

Jack:

Jack/Katherine: Jack is a cowboy, Katherine usually does a genderbent Doctor (a different one each year) but now she can happily dress as 13, Katherine did learn, however, that she can get Jack to dress as something other than a cowboy if they were named Jack (Jack Skellington, Jack Harkness, Jack Sparrow, Jack Frost)

Jack/Davey: Jack is a cowboy, Davey dresses as Spock (he was hoping it would convince Jack to dress as Kirk, but nope, James is not close enough to Jack)

Jack/Crutchie: Jack is a cowboy, Crutchie is aware that Jack will always pick cowboy so he dresses as the Roman from Night at the Museum so that they’ll have a thing going

While one person by themselves does not have the ability to bully Jack out of dressing like a cowboy, two people do!

Jack/Crutchie/Davey: the three musketeers is a popular costume, as well as the hitchhiking ghosts from Haunted Mansion, three stooges,

Jack/Katherine/Davey: iconic trios like Harry (Jack), Ron (Davey), and Hermione (Katherine), or Batman (Davey), Superman (Jack), and Wonder Woman (Katherine), or Dorthy, Scarecrow, and Tinman

Katherine:

Katherine/Sarah: iconic lesbian duos like Peach (Katherine) and Daisy (Sarah), or Blue and Magenta from Blues Clues (name a more iconic lesbian couple I dare you), Raven and Starfire from Teen Titans, Elphaba and Glinda

Katherine/Davey: Hades and Persephone, Gomez and Morticia Addams,

Katherine/Specs: Jessie and Buzzlightyear, James and Lily Potter,

Crutchie:

Crutchie/Davey: Holmes and Watson (old school),

Crutchie/Finch: Finch likes to dress as Robin Hood so Crutchie will dress as one of his merry men

Race:

Race/Albert: MEMES, both dress as Spider-Man and reenact the pointing meme, two person horse costume, Bert and Ernie,

Race/Spot: greasers, anything where Race gets to wear a dress (Mario and Peach, knight and princess, Bonnie and Clyde)

Race/Albert/Spot: Spock (Albert), Kirk (Race), and Bones (Spot), or Blossom (Albert), Bubbles (Race), and Buttercup (Spot), or really just any iconic same sex trios

Race/Albert/Spot/Elmer: they usually rotate who picks the theme, but there is a rule that says if two people object to the theme then a new theme will be chosen (this is a direct consequence of Race and/or Albert choosing to be teletubbies, and Spot threatening to break up with them), other more accepted themes include Superheroes (both DC and Marvel), Hogwarts students (Spot wears Gryffindor, Race wears Ravenclaw, and Albert and Elmer both wear Hufflepuff), LotR characters (it’s Spot’s idea, but they’ll never tell anyone that), princesses (Race’s idea), Mario characters, the Scooby-Doo gang (Race is shaggy, Elmer is Velma, Albert is Daphne, and Spot is Freddie), Sesame Street (Albert is Bert, Race is Ernie, Elmer is Elmo, Spot is Oscar the grouch),

Elmer:

Elmer/Albert: classic couple costumes such as salt and pepper shakers, or ketchup and mustard bottles,

Elmer/Spot: traditional monsters (vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies, ghosts),

Elmer/Buttons: weirdly bad costumes considering how well Buttons can sew (both wear sheets with eyeholes to be ghosts, cheap firemen’s hat with no effort put into the rest of the outfit, just plastic vampire fangs and nothing else,

Finch:

Finch/Tommy Boy: Captain America and Ironman,

Finch/Albert: it’s a competion to see who can pick a dumber costume (a shirt that says ‘life’ and just handing people lemons vs. a failed math test (Race is the judge))

Finch/Morris: Morris does not dress up so Finch will dress as a cop and pretend to arrest him, or as an alien who wants to study him, or just anything he can think of that will be annoying

Others:

Blink/Mush: always cute AF but don’t pick things that go together (Blink usually pick a pirate cuz it’s easy, Mush likes to dress like a dog, or Toad from Mario, fairy godfather)

Sniper/Smalls: genderbent anything really (John and Sherlock (BBC), Aziraphale and Crowley, Merlin and Arthur)

Romeo/Specs: steampunk hoes, or definitely gay Shakespeare characters (*cough* Mercutio and Benvolio *cough*)

Buttons/Henry/Jojo: Rey (Buttons), Finn (Henry), and Poe (Jojo),

Buttons/Jojo: Buttons makes costumes, Jojo does make-up, together they are unstoppable (dragon costumes, fairies, Beauty and the Beast) the more elaborate the better

Henry/Morris (literally just put this for @panpervinca): Devil (Morris) and Angle (Henry) (but when asked, Morris will tell you to do the right thing and Henry will tell you to do the wrong thing), anything with an obvious dichotomy really
