@smcempathy​ had told me they found a video featuring the SMC Staff and one part of the video was about how they made their sound effects. Now this was around S1/S2′s airing (and before I made my blog so empathy and I haven’t even met to share the video) so it might be lost and according to smcempathy the video may have been removed from YouTube?

But this is the internet! Nothing can escape it

I'm saying this because I'm about to lose half my followers and fan base. A LOT of you are adults and as such occasionally post NSFW content.

I want you to know I have diligently weeded out all bots and reported spam over the years but kept real people even if you're an NSFW blogger who also happens to like Sailor Moon. I've done my part and my job as a blogger.

As long as you're not a bot (and I can easily tell the difference,) I feel that as a blogger it was my responsibility to work hard to make tumblr a better place by properly reporting and blocking blogs who were not real.

Tons of my own posts were wrongly labeled NSFW and I have submitted every one for review in hopes it helped tumblr's algorithms make better judgements - now to no avail. smcempathy is 100% a SFW blog and viewable by people of all ages.

All walks of life follow this blog, all ages, genders, orientations, religions, cultures and nationalities - from all corners of the globe because that's what Sailor Moon does - Sailor Moon breaks barriers and speaks to everyone on a soul level of understanding. Love wins is what I always say.

This blog will remain and I will continue to blog here but sadly it seems to a smaller fan base as tumblr takes a big hit with this next move.

As you know, Sailor Moon Crystal was aimed at an adult audience of people who grew up with the series. While the show itself is SFW, adult bloggers who are running personal (non-fandom blogs) might not be SFW.

(All episodes of Sailor Moon minus episodes 199 and 200 are rated for kids 14+. 199-200 is rated M for adults. All volumes of the Sailor Moon manga are SFW and available at any public library for all ages.)

I don't know what to say really. A lot of people who were following me were adults and it would be ashame to delete a chunk of the fan base since they are adults and tumblr used to be a platform of free expression and free speech for adults.

It's a great idea to advocate for a better and safer tumblr especially because there are minors on this site. Tumblr has always been a personal hell site for me. No offense to my youngest followers but I'm not even sure it's safe for you all to be on this site. smcempathy is fine but the rest of tumblr is iffy especially with the random bots that follow popular bloggers. You literally have to click on them to remove, block and report them. Maybe this move might make it a better place? Idk.

I feel like I'm rambling and I am. I came to tumblr because I felt I needed to be here. This blog is kind of an antithesis to some trends on tumblr at the time this blog was created. Out of all the chaos in the world sometimes people just need a little clarity, positivity and a chance to get away from it all - equipped with facts, sources and receipts.

Ami Mizuno - shy, introverted, reserved, refined and yet has this incredible capacity for love and empathy for others. Studious, observer, calculated, precise and accurate, strategist, sweetheart and cinnamon roll. Loves swimming, relaxing, being with friends, chess and reading.

Just because you are introverted or shy doesn't mean you don't have a personality or are boring in any way. Ami is the perfect example of how extroverts can misunderstand introverts, how introverts actually have incredibly deep and complex personalities and how extroverts can have the compassion for understanding and be friends with an introvert.

Honestly Ami is super relatable for so many people and so many genders. Sailor Mercury's perseverance and determination is my personal Aqua Rhapsody.

It's a fact Sailor Moon is one of the most easily recognizable classic animes still to this day, but did you know the Sailor Moon manga topped The New York Times Best Selling Manga list many times over?

In 2011 Sailor Moon topped the charts 4 times with its initial Kodansha re-release. Appearing at #2 several times was the Sailor V manga (the prequel to Sailor Moon) and at #3 multiple times. (Source)

2012 was a good year for Sailor Moon as well, topping the charts at Number 1 for a whopping total of 9 times. Appearing at No. 2 at least 6 or more times, but admittedly was loosely counted by me (the op) and appearing several times at spot 3 and once at No. 4.

In fact, just barely over 5 years ago on Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary, it was cited by Kodansha comics that at the time Sailor Moon, written by author Naoko Takeuchi, had already sold over 35 million copies world wide!
