Sand dragons travel in herds and are very social animals. They travel together underneath the sand and only surface to feed. They have an incredibly deep roar that can be felt from miles away which they use to communicate.

A new flower I discovered while doing research for this project, the spatterings of white and swirls of purple made them to captivating not to grace them with a dragon. 

baby iskierka for @tane-p! i’ve been having a hard time drawing dragons despite being very motivated for it ever since i started listening to the temeraire audiobooks, so this was a lil exercise to loosen up. i started with loose, spiralling scribbles and used them as base for the poses, ignoring anatomy completely, which is great and very relaxing
