Bro if Brahma came out of the lotus in Vishnu's belly button, does that mean Brahma can be considered Vishnu's "offspring"? o_O
Also the story of the origins are so contrasting yk. Shiva Purana says Shiva came first, and Vishnu came out of his left side, while Vishnu Purana says vice vera. Shakti Purana says Adi Shakti came first, and the rest came out of her.
TBH, I feel like ppl mostly associate Shiva to be the first one, since yk, he is called Swayambhu. IK, the name is also associated with Vishnu too, but Shiva is called Swayambhu in so many mantras and stotras etc etc. LOL SO CONFUSING OMG
I have heard some ppl have the theory that each of these realities happened, but in different Yuga Kalpas which is...also interesting. hm. I low-key like the Smarta tradition tho, since they consider Shiva, Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesh and Surya to be equal.
Lmao Swayambhu is mostly considered with Shiva or Vishnu but sometimes Brahma too
Also there are so many varieties in the origins but Adi Shakti is the one idc 🗿🗿✨ (im a Shakta so yeah whatever she's the Brahman herself) Narayan is an avatar of Shakti 🗿🗿✨✨✨
But yeah I do believe in the each Kalpa takes place in each Purana factor too because that makes more sense to why we got so many different variations of the same myth too
Also sometimes Brahma IS considered Vishnu's offspring no???
Smartas are so interesting because the Saurya (ig that's what you call them...) cult just randomly became so unpopular like 😭😭🤌🤌🤌
Same with the Ganpati one and even Rig Veda Indra
Like they were once considered supreme and now it's either just Shiva, Vishnu or Shakti (but Shakti is supreme 🗿✨)
