But, I already have how they’re gonna get reader back. It’s gonna be a team effort with multiple objectives.
This isn’t just a drag Reader back kicking and screaming mission. It’s a make it so they having nothing to return to and never want to return again.
So some people pair off for those objectives. Others go solo.
I’d love to hear your idea for Jason. I already had something in mind for him with Duke assisting him, but I’m open to dusting off that outline and tweaking it!

The Smalltown! Reader rewrite is AMAZING and it’s insane how you’ve improved compared to the original first part (which I also enjoyed), and I love how we’re getting more context on Batfam and their thoughts/motivations. Are you going to rewrite the whole series?

But when Bruce is checking on stalking them, he sees something he doesn’t like, like mom and stepdad let them date or something, and freaks, taking custody
I did come up with the crazy idea as some character lore where Smalltown!Reader got cheated on so they tied their ex to a tree, got them frisky, and then blew up their ex’s truck.
You know, country song revenge.
That would definitely make local papers. And, reach Bruce’s ear.
Think that would do it?
(Also, it wouldn’t be a neglect story after that. Because Reader would be starting to much shit trying to get Bruce to send them back home.)
