This piece was so fun to create. Very much the opposite of my other small, minutely embroidered balls, this one, which starts on the a Temari style rag ball base, is wrapped in un-spun wool roving. The roving is also used to sew the piece together and the ends are tufted out to form spikes. The results are a playful, warm, tactile ball that is fun to hold, fun to look at and makes me laugh. Hence the name.
