Due to todays event of a certain, popular Survivor player and Youtuber abusing the Hunter's Just Deserts function and MANY players apparently not knowing this important information, I am posting this
Just Desert is a function in the settings while you play Hunter, it's purpose is to get Survivors that get stuck somewhere and refuse to use the Escape button to get out of where they're stuck. Just Deserts takes a while to actually activate (around 30-60 seconds), it's not instant giving the stuck Survivor enough time to use the Escape button. If Just Deserts effect activates ALL Survivors in it's radius will get incapacitated and appear in front of the Hunter.
Using Just Deserts to camp the chair, force Survivors out of certain kiting areas or for anything else beside it's purpose
As it came to my attention on both IdentityV's sub reddit and on that YouTuber's video, many players, old and new players alike, do not know, that using Just Deserts for anything but it's purpose is against the rules. It doesn't matter how bad the balancing of the game is, how good someone kites, how bad the match is going for you: Using. Just. Deserts. For. Anything. But. It's. Purpose. Is. Against. The. Rules. You can get reported for it and it's not just "lowtier Survivors whining", it's not Survivors that don't want Hunters to have a good time. It will bring consequences with it, if you abuse Just Deserts.
Here the proof of Devs stating to not abuse Just Deserts. If you still don't believe me, contact the support team and ask yourself.
How to report Hunters that abuse Just Deserts
If you want to report Hunterd that abuse Just Deserts in the future (or any other player that breaks the rules in any type or form), you will have to save the replay. To save replays you have to activate the function first in the Game settings first:
To save a replay just tap on Save replay button while you're in the result screen:
Now that you have the replay saved, record it with any app that lets you record games and upload it to Youtube, preferably only the part where the player breaks the rules. While the video uploads go back to Identity V and open the Record to check who you played with, tap on the Hunter to view their Archiev and take a screenshot from their Name and ID or
Great, you now got video proof and the players Name and ID, now you can actually go an report the player. For that Open the Game settings again and tap on Support:
Now you will see a screen where you can find an FAQ, report bugs, etc. Tap on that circle symbol called Change:
And now all you have to do, is to tap on report player:
Now just tell the support team what happened, they will 100% ask you for video proof and ID of the player, just send the video to the email the Support team will tell you in their reply and you're done.
