small progress is progress 💛 i’m loving every bit of my self love, weight loss journey! i have a ways to go but thought i’d share an update. i’ve been a little in the dark about it, but this is me being real. this is me in november, & me now. (please excuse the acne scars)
Finally finished Nishitani's icons this evening. The bases are on my icon resource blog ( @lyrieuxsicons ) for free downloadsies if wanted. I have a generally weird collection over there but you never know, there might be someone useful for you-! Next up to do is Joon-Gi from Y7; I've done 6 aha.
Plan for the spring and summer:
Buy 'native but rare in county' partial shade seeds off of Prairie Moon https://www.prairiemoon.com/
Spend at least part of each week tearing up garlic mustard out of the woods next to our apartments.
Everywhere I pull up a bunch of garlic mustard, sow some of those native seeds.
-----
Two years ago, I took down some massive stands of milk thistle, but didn't plan ahead. Those areas were COMPLETELY taken over by garlic mustard this past summer.
Lesson learned. I'm going after the garlic mustard again this summer, stocking up on native seeds a head of time.
If i run out of native seeds, I may reseed some Queen Anne's Lace. It's also invasive, but it only grows in disturbed areas and is a lot less harmful locally than garlic mustard.
Just recognised how great it is that I can do push ups now! Remembering how hard it was to do them on my knees months ago, now I can do them! Yay for progress!!

Despite some really crippling anxiety problems I'm working through right now, I finally made some progress today on the writing front. I wrote about 1k. Even though it took me several hours to do that, I'll take it.
Any amount of progress you make is significant. I don't care how big or small others think it is, if you are moving in a better direction then that qualifies it as being progress. Even if it's raising a grade from an F to a D, or a B- to a B. Or if it's walking to get in better shape, or a better diet. Any progress you are making to make yourself better is progress. Don't let anyone else say it isn't. You got yourself through your struggles and you have grown. Nobody else will ever do that for you, and you can't expect anyone else to. Everything you do is for yourself to grow and become better, and you should be proud of yourself.
