#small bands

Hi everyone! I went to warped tour this last weekend and I met someone who was super nice to me and let me stand in front of them so I could see. I talked to them a bit and found out they were in a small band from around my area, and it gave me the idea to make a post with a few punk/emo bands that are smaller, who i really like!

Holy shit these guys are so good. If you like My Chem you will like these mfers because they somehow manage to sounds so much like My Chem without ripping them off! Also I like them because it’s clear that they aren’t doing music for the marketing gimmick! They are genuinely interested in what they make and it totally reflects in their sound! I will also be leaving a song rec with all of these so you can listen. PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE THEM SO YEAH!

I ALSO LOVE THESE MFERS! I don’t know exactly how to categorize them other than saying that they have a general emo/pop punk vibe, but are also kinda punk and grunge, which basically means that NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE YOU WILL LIKE THESE MFERS! Also, FEMALE REPRESENTATION because their leader singer is a woman. Again, I really appreciate that you can hear the passion in their music and that it sounds like it ACTUALLY came out in the 2000s, vs a ton of the stuff you see on Insta or TikTok that sounds so fake.

Fawn Of The Dead

This is the band of the person I met at the concert! Personally, their music isn’t really my style but I know SOMEONE will like them so we have to help find the people that do! Their music is more slow, melancholic, post grudge, sad boy kinda music. They are def really smol and DESERVE MORE so if you like that style then give them a listen!

(some of the above are less small now, but I have another rec!!!!! Smokin Rings is THE most underrated band I have found on my own and I absolutely adore their sound. Dreams is my favorite song, but all of Hollow City also slaps! PLEASE GIVE THEM A LISTEN I WOULD DIE FOR YOU!!!!!!)

-four letter word. hardcore punk. they don't have much music out but what they do is good.

-pat and the pissers. another hardcore band, based pretty close to where i am so imma try to see them sometime. i know a guy who knows a guy who knows one of the members actually.

-C.C.T.V. egg punk. only 4 songs unfortunalty, but what they got out is really good.

-monk. metal. they recently released a couple new singles and one of them got popular pretty quick so im hoping they're boutta start growing.

-ashes of billy. alt rock/post grunge. pretty recent, only started releasing music in 2022 as of what i've seen. the only good grunge bands keeping the scene alive are small bands like this, any new grunge music that gets popular is usually shit.

-friends in real life. folk punk. PATS BACK HOLY SHIT. another pat the bunny project, we love pat. he has a ton of other projects that are a little more popular, like wingnut dishwashers union, ramshackle glory, johnny hobo and the freight trains, and his solo project, pat the bunny. he said he quit music for a while and got in rehab, he's a lot better now and the entire community can agree that we're all really happy for him. his sound is a lot different, but it's still great.

-callejera. hardcore. again.

-dirty kid discount. folk punk mixed with a little bit of metal. has similar vibes to the taxpayers if you dig on them.

-pigs. hardcore/metal.

-june 66. rock n roll. the best modern rock n roll band i know, actually good at replicating the sound from when rock and roll was at its prime.

-torture and the desert spiders. garage rock. i actually love them so much i refuse to take a bad word.

-cheerleader roadkill. pop punk. probably the most popular on this list, and one of the members makes rlly funny drawing videos, his online name is goobsmooch. i actually liked the band for a little while while watching goobsmoochs videos and when i realized it was the same person i freaked out.
