This episode just proves to me Ash x Lana is my Ash ship for SM lol.
They two just seem to click really well together so im glad Ash was there to help her get her Z ring. This and the last episode did a decent job in building up her getting a Z Ring a Crystal, I initially thought SM would be about Ash getting all the crystals but it looks like theyll be spread out among the cast, which im fine with since it gives them more of a role to play, also congrats on Popplio for learning Aqua Jet, he’s a good boy.
My only regret is that Lana didnt catch Wishiwashi, but I suppose there’s not much you can do with a fish outta water

SM033 is still one of my fav eps, and Iwane just shines during this ep's animation. Such a joy to watch. Also seeing Ashimari grow somewhat from being scared as hell of Lord of the Lake to end up getting the courage to defeat it. Like Suiren said herself, nice fight!

The students at the Pokémon School are greatly enjoying their Akala Island classes. Satoshi goes with Suiren to a lake where it's said you can fish the "Lord of the Lake". Suiren gets a big bite the instant she throws out the line, but because it's so big, it's not very easy to reel in.
