The Big Battle was a large scale clash between several space-faring groups and a large group of vicious space pirates.
The Orion (the original ship of my guys) was attacked and, since there were only eight crew members at the time and only four of them had any experience in fighting, the results were devastating.
Lea and Ka’cha were caught in one of the corridors. Neither of them had any experience fighting. Ka’cha entire species are pacifistic in nature so he never had any reason to learn any form of self defence on his home planet, while Lea was a human who only ended up as part of the Orion’s crew after as space holiday went wrong and the Orion rescued her.
They were ambushed by the pirates and, when Ka’cha jumped in front of Lea to save her from an attack, his right arm was cut off at the elbow. Lea and Ka’cha were both rescued by Ameria.
Quetza was trapped in the engine room by lots of pirates and fought his way out using his venom. His left eye was badly damaged in the fight and he lost all vision in it.
Niani and Ueisha were attacked on the bridge by the largest group of the pirates. Niani had no fighting training so it was up to Ueisha to do the fighting. He used his powers (gravitational manipulation) to defeat them but the strain on his body caused him to go into a permanent coma, Niani was traumatized by the fight and developed PTSD.
Slymera was with Ameria when the attack started and was ordered to stay in the medical bay. She was also in charge of treating those injured in the fighting once everything was over.
Eli also used his gravitational powers to fight the pirates and managed to get away relatively unscathed apart from a deep gash in his side that left a nasty scar. He was very shaken up by his brothers comatose state.
Ameria fought tooth and nail to protect her ship and her crew. She received several new scars, nothing too bad, and lost most of her hearing when she went up against gun users in an enclosed area. She now needs hearing aids to hear clearly.
The ship was heavily damaged and barely made it to the nearest planet to land safely (especially since their pilots were Niani and Slymera and both were unable to carry out that job. Ameria took it over) and most of their valuables were stolen.
After the battle, the Orion sought out new recruits after taking three (Earth) years to recover.
