Pretty cricket in pretty grounds (part one).Â
(This is quite late but I thought I'd star posting cricket/cricket grounds cause I'm 'kind of' into it/them?)Â
We were 14-2 when we took a bus to the grounds. Frustrated? Only a bit. Eighty something for two when we arrived at the cricket. And went on without losing another wicket with both Shan and YK making centuries. Proud!Â
And then the next day we went on winning the third Test and won the series 2-1. I was at the middle of a seven-hour train journey, feeling a bit sad that I had to leave Kandy and couldn't make it into the fifth and final day, and checking scores on a phone which had only 20% of battery life left cause I forgot to charge it overnight. I was never thaaaat excited for a match which I couldn't even watch on TV. Days like those, you feel proud of being a Pakistani fan. And win or lose, with Pakistan, things are never boring.
