FASHION CREDITS: 'MAYHEM: REQUIEM'
Lady Gaga is the ghost of her own broken-down and withered gothic opera house as she takes the stage for the Apple Music 'MAYHEM: Requiem' - the final chapter of this hauntingly beautiful era.
Photography by Jack Bridgland. Styling by Hunter Clem with assistance by Kallie Collett, Thomas Jay, Lisa Bruno, George Villalpando, Casper Tveteraas Hauge and Rebecca Moreno.
For the opening look, Gaga and her longtime stylist Hunter decided to delve once again into the Rodarte archives. From the Fall/Winter 2023 collection, they opted for the black silk velvet devoré cape with floral sequin all over embroidery.
For the majority of the show, Gaga leans fully into ritual. She appears veiled beneath a sculptural beaded headpiece and crown by Tommy Solovyov - her face obscured, her presence amplified.
The piece reads like armor and relic all at once: a lattice of beads cascading into a netted veil, crowned with intricate, almost sacred detailing. It transforms anonymity into power, turning concealment into spectacle.
For an alternative opening look, as seen during the rehearsals, Lady Gaga seems to be wearing one of the fun tinsel capes as seen on the aforementioned Rodarte‘s runway!
To throw in some Saint Laurent, as she loves, we got these new "SL 736" black acetate oval sunglasses with side logo detail.
I was immediately captivated by this Victorian goth-inspired beauty.
This black wool dress with leg-o'-mutton sleeves, standing collar, hook-and-eye details, voluminous hips and sheer paneled skirt, hails from Aniye Records‘ Fall/Winter 2025 collection titled "Breaking Rules".
A mix of established houses and emerging designers is a must when it comes to Gaga‘s styling palette.
Here, she‘s donning the uber-fierce Fragile studded cropped leather jacket with dramatic shoulders and elongated eyelet straps from Judassime‘s Spring/Summer 2026 collection titled "Lost Highway".
You‘ll remember her honoring this collection at her very last 'Mayhem Ball' tour show in NYC with another studded jacket by this young talent!
Gaga then re-emerges on stage as a withering gothic bride, dressed in the most gorgeous silhouette from Matières Fécales‘ Fall/Winter 2025 "The Other" collection - black tulle enveloppée evening gown twisting around the torso before falling into a dramatic mermaid silhouette.
A custom Dilara Findikoglu black organza veil with antique deadstock guipure lace trim mounted on a layered headband completed the look.
Emerging designer label SLVA is the mastermind behind some pieces of this show, including this mindblowing sculpted industrial rubber dress featuring an asymmetrical hood, zip front and matching gauntlets, all inspired by his Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
A little bird whispered to me that Gaga‘s boots for the show were a pair of Stuart Weitzman Power boots which were reworked by Lacey Dalimonte with a distressed and treated leather overlay!
We had SLVA open up the 'Mayhem' era with his creations using repurposed car parts. And now, we‘re letting him close it.
Gaga donned one of his body armours, this time in black made of old vintage car parts Selva himself picks out by hand.
To complete the look, Gaga dons these fierce stretch leather thigh-high platform boots Christian Louboutin created for Matières Fécales‘ Fall/Winter 2025 "The Other" collection.
Mother Monster changes into a total custom look done by emerging designer Andrew Curwen which includes a treated black mesh corset and layered silk organza tea-length skirt in various shades of grey!
"It consumed 337 yards of silk fabric", Curwen says. "It’s literally hundreds of thousands of circles layered and strung together".
The look was completed with a pair of custom black leather gauntlets with buckled wrist strap detail Andrew made in collaboration with Sofia Morin.
Things changed up for the performance version of the previous outfit.
Instead of the big ballgown-esque skirt, she opted for a custom Andrew Curwen corset skirt made of wool gauze and horsehair.
Ugh YES. When performing, Gaga wears this vintage 1970s Art Deco revival style chainmail headdress with beads!
