PETER- “If it is okay, I think before their nap, I was going to take the kids over to the park”

MARK- “Of course, not a problem at all, and you really do not need to ask permission, Peter.”

PETER- “Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean it to sound that way. I guess I just wanted you to know where we would be. I think I will go change real quick while Logan eats.”

Once Peter leaves to go upstairs to change, Seth gives Logan her lunch, takes Jonas out of his chair and then tells Mark what he found in Logan’s room....

SETH- “There was a dirty diaper just laying on the floor and she had on a fresh diaper. It is just not like him to leave a dirty diaper anywhere, not to mention right there on the floor.”

MARK- “You know how she hates diapers, maybe she took it off?”

SETH- “And put on her own diaper? She is very smart, but that would be impossible.”

LOGAN- “JoJo changed me.”

MARK- “Silly girl, Jonas didn’t change you. (Back towards Seth) Peter seemed a little distracted when he came down for lunch.”

SETH- “Maybe he needs a couple days or a week off.  I mean the boy has been non-stop for nine months, and has taken very little time for himself. Between his studies and the kids, he may just need a break, you know?”

MARK- “You’re right, I will talk to him later after he gets back from the park with the kids.”

SETH- “Sounds good.  Okay I am off to the animals. See you at dinner.”

Instead of changing, Peter went back into Jonas’s room...

After a day at the park, then a little nap, the little ones had an early dinner and Peter put them both to bed. The park excursion must have worn them out.

PETER- “You look really sleepy Jonas. We need to get you and your sister ready for bed..”

JONAS- “Night Night?””

PETER- “Yes it is night night...(lays him down and tucks him in) “Sweet dreams precious boy.”

Jonas was asleep before Peter left the room to put Logan down.

When Peter got into Logan’s room, she was already changed for bed...which was odd, if Mark changed her why didn’t he let him know he had already put her to bed, and he left on her light.

PETER- “Did Daddy Mark come and changed you for bed, princess?”

LOGAN- “Nnwkafaj JoJo, nite nite”

PETER- “Yes, Jonas went night night, and now you need to go to sleep too. Tomorrow is Friday and we visit the clinic tomorrow and see all of Daddy Seth’s patients”

PETER- “There you go, good night Logan.”

LOGAN- “Peter nite, Jojo night.”

Over on the North side of Brindleton Bay, the newly married Ian and Daniel Hartmann have adopted a child of their own.  A little boy named Perry.

PERRY- Play time now?”

IAN- “Sure buddy, come here and we can take a plane ride!!

PERRY- “WEEEEE!!  Up in the air we go!

DANIEL- “All set for take off, fasten your seat belts!”

IAN- “You ready Perry!?”

PERRY- Fly high up to the SKY!”

IAN- “Okay, coming in for a landing, Daddy Dan has lunch ready once we deaprt from the plane.”

DANIEL- “It’s your favorite!”

PERRY- “Macky Cheese!? and Boccolee!!”

Once Peter was ready for bed he decided to call his brother Scott and let him know he was going to be off next weekend and that Mark said he could stay here. Plus he hadn’t talked to him in a few days. So he dialed him up instead of sending a text.

PETER- “Yeah, Mark said it would be fine if you stayed here. I mean the house is big. Of course not as big as ours, or as old, but it is nice. You would be staying in the basement.  Or we could put a sleeping bag in my room if you didn’t want to sleep in the basement.”

SCOTT- “I can sleep in the basement, Pete. I am not a scared little boy anymore. This will be fun, plus I can meet these little kids you are always going on about. Plus, Maybe you can meet Alexis when we get to Britechester, she is going to meet me there on Saturday. I have told her ALL about you.”

Peter settled in very quickly and went right to work acclimating with everyone in the house and perfecting a schedule with the twins, and finally Logan got on a schedule where her days and nights were no longer mixed up, which Peter was grateful for.  

One of the greatest benefits of his new job was the quiet of the bay and his view every morning from his balcony. He would get up early before anyone else, prepare some coffee and sit on his balcony enjoying this view. He needed this quiet time in the mornings, and in his life. It had been long time since he felt this peaceful. After everything that happened a few years ago at home back in Windenburg life had been anything but peaceful for Peter.  He knew coming here was the right decision.

It wasn’t long and the twins had aged up, and started toddling around and jabbering. Both were quick learners and loved spending time with Peter and their fathers. They both seemed to be very social. Logan rolled the “wild” trait and Jonas rolled the “charmer” trait. Before Peter even realized it he had been here nine months, and the twins would soon be a year old!!

Logan had her daddy Seth’s hair, and Daddy Mark’s eyes. She also had the spray of freckles over her nose and cheeks like Seth.  She may have looked like Seth, but her temperament was more like Mark. She had little patience, and definitely did not like wearing a diaper.  Peter was happy about that, he could start potty training her sooner rather than later.

LILA- “Albert, I am so glad you are here...You need to get me out of here though. That woman that was just here thinks she is my nurse. She tries to bathe me and everything! She stole my purse I know it was here.”

ENOCH- “Mom, I am not Albert. Dad died years ago. I am Enoch, and that was your nurse. She didn’t steal anything, you haven’t used a purse in years.”

LILA- “I use my purse everyday! Albert, quit being silly. Just give me a hug, and then we can go. I need to get home to the boys.”

ENOCH- “You are going to stay for a little while but the kids and I need to get back home. We will see you again next Saturday.  Maybe Hailey can come with us next time. Do you need us to bring you anything?”

LILA- “Of course I am staying here a little while.  Where else would I go? It was so nice to meet you. And bring Shirley back with you next time too. It was good to see her!”

ENOCH- “Mom! That is not---

ROWAN- “It’s okay daddy, if she thinks I am Shirley, I can be Shirley.  She must have been someone that Grams loved very much.  Okay Grams I will come back next time.  I will bring a book and you can read to me, Okay?”

LILA- “Oh Shirley that would be so much fun, yes.  Bring us a book next time.

As Peter walked into the kitchen with Jonas, Mark was finishing up preparing everyone's lunch.

MARK- “Hey Peter, and good afternoon, Jonas how is my little gentleman this afternoon?”

PETER- “He is fine, but didn’t want to come down for lunch today.”

MARK- “That’s odd. He never turns down food. Maybe he smelled the grilled cheese, it is not one of his favorites. Seth is joining us for lunch today, he got some free time from the clinic.”

Seth soon joined them and grabbed his plate. Peter poured him a drink of the fresh squeezed lemonade and went to grab a seat.

SETH- “Where is the Princess?”

PETER- “OH my... I for got her!!  How could I have forgotten her!?”

SETH- “It’s fine.  I will go grab her. Get you some lunch, Peter.”

PETER- “Oh, no, I will grab her, you sit down and eat.”

SETH- “I insist. I will get her. You relax. You seem a little frazzled this afternoon, Peter.”

Peter sat down, and drank the entire glass of lemonade in one huge gulp.

MARK- “Peter, is everything okay?”

PETER- “Oh... yeah sorry, yes, just really thirsty.  You make the best home made lemonade.”

MARK- “Just squeeze the lemons, add a little sweetener and water. Pretty simple actually.”

PETER- “Always the perfect amount of sugar without taking away the sour of the lemons. Reminds me of my Grandmother Lowenthals.”

PETER- “Okay, so I won’t carry you, take my hand and we can walk to Logan’s room.”

JONAS- “No...nuanjafb oufeb, Jo jhfferu.”

PETER- “What is wrong with you Jonas, Did you say,  “Jonas no?” Please, go with me, Jonas, you really need to eat.”

JONAS- “Jo...NO!”

Suddenly Peter hears something over near the closet door, and feels a cool breeze or wind come towards him. He turns quickly and Jonas is also looking that way....

PETER- “What the---- Come on Jonas, we need to get downstairs, now!”

He grabs up Jonas, and heads towards the door, and the rocking chair continues to look like it is floating upward towards the ceiling. Peter is taken a back, but heads closer to the door and the chair, looking closer as he doesn’t really believe what he is seeing. Jonas on the other hand is laughing like something was extremely funny.
