Aromantic Connie Head Canon
The year is 2040. Congresswoman Connie is running for President. Her campaign is of course run by Steven Universe. The media and public see how close they are and assume they're dating or married. They never confront these rumors, because let's face it, Connie would want to focus on the politics rather than her relationship status. She wins and Steven becomes her Chief of Staff. Often times Steven stays at the White House because they have their best ideas at 2 AM and Steven driving to and from his house is a waste of valuable brainstorming time. Finally a journalist outright asks Connie what's going on with them. Connie responds by reminding them that she has been out as aromantic since college (a fact they somehow didn't find despite her involvement in several LGBT+ organizations) and that her political ideologies are far more interesting than discussing her completely platonic friendship with her best friend and respected colleague.
