Through hardships we share With our hearts we bare May we find the sunlight May we wrap ourselves in delight
((Merry Christmas/Happy New Year, Alex!!!))
The last time they had seen each other, the encounter had been the worst. Yells tossed at each other’s heads, mostly related to Bellamy’s inability to be sort his feelings, often saying the thing that was unnecessary, or Raven’s tendency to always carry more on her shoulders than she could hold. Everything had fell apart, an occurrence neither of them knew how to fix. The downfall had started when Raven had slept with Bell, trying to rip from her mind burned images of her now ex cheating on her, as he had found comfort by the arm of some ridiculously stoic blonde, the basic opposite from the fire that burned in her core.
Bellamy had explained to her, choosing the harshest words to unfold his truth as to how he didn’t support the idea of being a rebound, and someone Raven could toss to the side once her needs were fulfilled. It all later made sense, but as Bellamy said it to her, she had grown to be pissed off and needed him to go away. Motioning towards the door, she snapped her fingers while pointing her index towards the door of her apartment. All she had wanted was sex, no words or displays of weakness. How was it that nothing seemed right in the world, that no matter how hard she worked, everything she received was all wrong, no recognition, nor love.
“If you’ve got nothing else to tell me, just leave. Now.”
The dark haired beauty pulled her cellphone from her pocket, fingers running skillfully across the screen, scribbling a message that spoke legions. The cold was seeping through her clothes, the chill causing blood to raise, a defense process so she didn’t risk hypothermia. Nonetheless, as soon as she pressed the ‘send’ button, the girl slipped her hands back inside her parka’s pockets, ignoring the wind still blowing in her back, the front of her head sheltered from the wind as it was covered with the cap of her coat.
“YOU ARE A DICK. Also, I’m at your door, let me in.”
It was merely two sentences long, however she found herself shifting her weight from one leg to another as she waited for a positive reaction. She then rung the buzzer so Bellamy would open to her. Waiting, she tapped her feet before to finally receive the response she’d expected. Pulling the door to enter the building, she tapped her boots together, removing the superficial snow from underneath before to adventure herself up the stairs. Raven didn’t know for sure what answers she was seeking as she’d made her way to the residences for foreign students, but all she wanted was to clarify things with Bellamy, as for once, she cared what his feelings were and thought it would be bad to let him linger in his perhaps swelling heart over a loss that wasn’t really one.
What she didn’t expect after climbing the stairs and having the door opened to let her in was a completely disheveled Bellamy, dark circles under his eyes, shoulders slumped forward, him seeming as if he spent the night and morning tossing and turning, never finding slumber. Shrugging her coat off, and kicking her boots to put them in the entrance, Raven frowned, unpleased to see her friend in such a deteriorated state. It wasn’t until a feminine figure scampered to the bathroom that the woman realized she’d been staring at Bellamy, a weight dropping low in her stomach. Was this a cruel joke, a repeat of sorts? Although she didn’t have the right to feel betrayed in the way she had, she still found herself pursing her lips in disapproval, shaking her head at the man before him who hadn’t yet uttered a word to explain what happened that night, his eyes following what Raven had seen. That was what happened when someone wrecked your love life, ruining everything you’d spent years building in a matter of seconds. Raven didn’t know who to hold a grudge against, Clarke or Finn, but she couldn’t help to find satisfaction in the fact that the latter weren’t even together.
Her feet connected with a stray piece of garbage. How had Bellamy allowed himself to such a life of debauchery? Was it somehow her fault? She’d wanted comfort, though it hadn’t appeased the suffering in her heart. Raven knew she sincerely needed to find new methods to cope, but when you sheltered yourself from everyone, always appearing stronger than reality, you often ended collecting the broken pieces of your heart one by one, hardly ignoring the cuts you got from it on your fingers. No one helped, really, and it was a whole big disappointment. Her thoughts were cut short as Bellamy, always observing, although sometimes a bit slow, finally said something, and the sound of his voice snapped her back to the present.
“Do you need me to kill someone for you? Or at least, tell me why you’re sad. Don’t lie to me, I see the pouty thing you do.”
Raven raised one of her eyebrows, a question hanging in her eyes, though she found the answer in the fact that the reason why Bellamy knew all of this was because he saw it all in his sister, Octavia. It couldn’t be because of another reason. It wouldn’t be so she needed not to put thought into that.
“You couldn’t even kill a fly, Bell.” The nickname made herself bittersweet, as it felt good to say it, yet she had no right, not yet, not ever it seemed. Nonetheless, she had said it as she was aware it would throw him off, considering the only other woman Raven had heard call Bellamy that was Octavia. She kept going, as Bellamy had asked her another question, somehow filled with more sense. Was he really ignoring the fact that he’d spent the night sleeping with someone to put his focus on her? What was wrong with him…? Just as she’d thought about the other woman, the door of the bathroom opened and a tall, slim woman trudged her way to them, or rather Bellamy.
“I’m just gon’ leave. Last night was great. Thanks for… everything.”
Raven felt sick, especially as the other girl had the gall to give a wink to her friend. Rolling her eyes, not even caring to hide her disgust, her lips in a frown, she turned herself back to Bellamy. At last they would be alone. And… where were they? She remembered in a snap, glad to go to another matter, as she wouldn’t have wanted to thread in those waters, a place that wasn’t for her.
“What do you care if I’m sad? You have no business in knowing what’s wrong in my life, and you don’t even take the time to stop and ask me, so I’ll do as everything’s fine, ‘cause I know I can get away with it.”
She couldn’t stop herself from saying words dripping with venom. She hadn’t been angry in the first place, but now she felt as if everything she’d expected from the morning was crumbling around her. Even the look she’d received from Bellamy spoke legions, telling her how bad a blow she’d given him. Raven only shrugged, wondering why she’d even bothered to come to Bellamy’s apartment in the first place. Her fingers on her thigh started tapping an odd beat, a habit of hers when she was either displeased or anxious. At the moment, both sentiments cohabited within her, intertwined endlessly, making it hard to breathe. As the man looked more intensely at her, Raven knew it was the time to spill, and no matter what, she always ended up talking about what she felt whenever she was with Bellamy. It was that way with them, and she enjoyed it, though she would never say so.
“How come every time I come to you, it always seems like it’s not the good time? Either you’re emotionally busy or you’re having a good time. Without me.”
There she said it, the reason why she’d come to him, the words leaving her lips accompanied with a sigh of relief, though the reaction she got didn’t match how she wanted it to be. Bellamy’s eyes were opened wide, his jaw dropping. Surely, he couldn’t have expected his morning to be such an eventful one, but it was something Raven excelled at, dropping bombs. She fluttered her eyes shut, slowly regretting to have opened her heart, as it left her grasping for something solid. Every time she let down her walls, something always found itself through, causing more harm than good, and she was tired of it.
“Please say something, Bell… I…”
She couldn’t continue, instead making herself lean into the couch, her shoulders rising as she took a deep breath. She was silently cursing the tears that threatened to spill, herself fighting hard to make sure they stayed put. What she didn’t see coming, a morning of surprises as it was, was Bellamy leaning towards her on the couch, answering with a gesture, his response hidden beneath it. The young man cupped Raven’s neck in one hand, his thumb gently caressing the skin, as his lips found Raven’s. The woman instantly opened her lips under the pressure, allowing the kiss to linger on. She put one hand on Bellamy’s arm, moving to make herself more comfortable. Somehow, a short while after, she was sitting on his lap, arms loosely twined around Bellamy’s neck, their embrace slowly deepening.
That was until the door slammed shut that the both of them flinched in the kiss, breaking it for a moment. The other girl had left, finally, for Heaven’s sake. Perhaps Raven had given her the same treatment she’d received but at the moment, she simply couldn’t bring herself to care. For the time being, Raven had what she wanted, being with someone she liked, someone she apparently shared so much with, hardships and joys. No one else came close to what she and Bellamy had together, and she felt the corners of her lips tug into a smile as she leaned back in to offer a soft peck against Bellamy’s lips.
“What do you say? No more hook ups from both our sides, unless it’s the two of us… together.”
She flipped her hair over her shoulder, throwing Bellamy a sultry filled look, the tension of her body only showing how bad she wanted him… again. She smirked at him, her eyes filled with desire. It appeared that he would give in easily, as his needs were answered with what she offered. It was time for the both of them to have something steady and going, no more hanging outs in a bed, with someone that was no more than a stranger.
“I say that’s fine, I like that idea, lil’ bird.”
His voice resonated through Raven’s chest, a feeling she enjoyed more than anything, as it made her entire self vibrate due to the lowness of Bellamy’s voice. She appreciated it more as they were since they made an oath she wanted to keep, and knew he wanted to as well. With a grin on her lips, she brought herself down to kiss Bellamy’s lips, forgetting the activity he’d given himself to the night before. She was ready to believe only she mattered now, that what she and Bellamy shared would last for a long time.
A few months passed, after which Raven moved in with Bellamy, their happiness being yet to be halted.
A year passed, and Bellamy, working hard with his part time job and school, juggling with a tight schedule, still found time to be with Raven.
Two years passed, Raven finally having enough money to start her own mechanic store, selling pieces for cars, always enjoying to repair Bellamy’s for free.
Three years passed, and they were on the road to visit the country, running on their meager economies, although, as calculated by Bellamy, they would be fine.
Four years passed and Raven and Bellamy had finally tied the knot. Their once broken souls were finally healed, and everything proved right.
Five years passed and neither of them had forgotten how it’d started, not quick to forgive. Everyone who had been part of their hardships had fallen off the surface of the Earth, never to be heard of again, and that made things all the easier.

Allydia Christmas AU – Away for the Holidays
Allison wanted their first Christmas together to be perfect. So, at the beginning of December she surprised Lydia with a trip to Allison’s remote family cabin deep in the mountains of New York. It was relaxing and a much needed getaway for both women. But of course they couldn’t ignore the bustling city hours away for some very valuable shopping. Not to mention the beautiful Holiday decorations all over the place. It was definitely a Christmas Lydia would always remember.
Christmas present for Marie
Another revolution around the sun, a celebration of how this morning you opened your eyes on the light from the solar star. Of course, it resonates in you as the clock seems to have ticked through the last year, each second marking you older of an infinitesimal amount. People reunite to formulate their wishes, and as I come, I join their chorus. Happy Birthday Alex!
this is so lovely, thank you :3
