SLEEPING POSITIONS CAN AFFECT YOUR STATE OF MIND
Get On The Right Side. You Snooze, You Lose.
Did you know sleep is one of the three pillars of health,
in addition to diet and energy management aka exercise?
Ever noticed how people who don’t get enough sleep
tend to put on weight easily?
Or they are susceptible to infections?
And even high blood pressure?
That’s because a good night’s sleep
Is essential to rejuvenate the body and mind,
combating imbalances and dis-ease.
More specifically, the POSITION you choose
to sleep is a dead giveaway to your health
and state of mind.
Sleep FACING DOWNWARDS,
and chances are,
you could possibly be depressed
and hence, would prefer to hide
from the world.
LYING FLAT out on the back
is often the choice of sick patients (right?)
or those who need to urinate often at night,
including snorers or people who are pot-bellied.
How then do you recharge your body?
Sleep on your LEFT.
This opens up the right nostril
for more energy and vigour
needed to tackle
issues the next day.
But sleeping on the RIGHT
is also highly beneficial.
It tends to cool and calm the system.
Which explains why it’s
the favourite position of
the cool, calm and collected.
Better yet, alternate between RIGHT and LEFT,
and vice-versa, for best results,
throughout the night.
But when you wake up,
lie on your RIGHT side.
Relax. Detach.
Before getting out of bed.
You’ll find it easier
to empty your bowels after that.
