How would Kyle's kids react to Butcher? Like, at some point if they meet them, how would that go down? When would Kyle decide to introduce them to his kids?
Like, they get to meet this tall, intimidating, VERY nervous figure who is dating their father.
I know for a fact that Butcher would be standing there about to die of nerves because they don't want to scare the kids and also don't know how to interact with them very well (they barely knew how to talk with Kyle and somehow ended up dating him LOLLL)
They definitely would be stuttering and stumbling over their words and dying inside a little bit—likely being quiet and timid but making sure to be as friendly and kind as they can to the kids.
Also it's so weird sending in an ask that isn't about BladeStaticTune. I feel like I'm breaking an invisible law /silly

Anyway IM GLAD YA ASKED!! I shall ramble something a little off topic. When he first meets Butcher- I can imagine Kyle being intimidated at first, but actually sort of gaining sympathy or Butcher after he sees how friendly they are. He'd assume Butcher is probably struggling too with housing and finance- even insisting on treating them a meal at the nearest applebees or something LOL
Feeling that kinship already, he'd be more inclined to seriously commit to a friendship with this fella against every instinct to mind his own business. Kyle's still got that huge nuturing bug just like Karen. (He too doted on Mario a shitton like Karen did in that one episode i forgot the name of- LMAO)
And eventually something blossoms...
Kyle before he would even consider falling in love- has to know whether or not his partner is good with kids. It's sadly his main priority. Kyle needs to see whether or not Butcher has the patience- or aura of someone the kids can trust.
The moment he lets Butcher in the house- he IMMEDIATELY yoinks them out of the way of a dart gun!
"GAH! Zoey- wait!! This isn't an intruder!"
"But daaaad! I'm just following protocol! Y'know- the protocol YOU taught us ever since mom went coo coo crazy?!"
"Do you seriously think dad would've just opened the door for the enemy???"
"Who knows, Cricket?! What if he's bein' brainwashed?!"

Then Kyle's making them all hang out and talk to each other. The kids are VERY wary of Butcher bc of how tall and intimidating they are- but I like to imagine that Cricket's the one who warms up first. Then Kiki, then Zoey after a loooooong time (She's constantly try to ambush Butcher and "test" them to see how well they REALLY know their dad!)
