As we continue south in the area of Bolivar, Missouri, lightning continues to light up the sky and gives us a sneak peek of the storm clouds. This is just the calm before the real "storm" where multiple tornado warnings are issued later on in the night.

Angry Storm Tries to Hide North of Springfield, MO 4/3/26
We are camped out on the north side of Springfield, Missouri, near MO-13 and I-44. This storm tries to hide as it approaches heading from west to east. You can see a small section in the clouds lowering from the main body of the storm. These types of clouds are commonly misinterpreted as funnel clouds. Remember, funnel clouds have rotation where these clouds don't show any signs of rotation.
As we travel south through the outskirts of Osceola, Missouri, we capture the shape of the storm as it is revealed by the lightning flashes. You wouldn't know it, but this system will later be the bearer of multiple tornado warnings.

Hope everyone is making it thru, it’s the only way out I’ve read.
