STARTER CALL for @skyssplits (accepting)
He's usually pretty early into the choir room, because it's a hell of a lot safer than being out in the hall. McKinley High is like a minefield - one wrong step and things could go horribly sideways. It's a cliché - overly judgemental high school with a rigid hierarchy and designated losers - but it's the cliché they all live in. And now that Kurt finally has some sort of safe space, he'd rather stick with it as much as possible. Plus, the Glee club is basically a family to him. So of course he's here a little early, stood on a chair so he can peer out one of the high windows. It's a slightly vulnerable position to be in, one where he's looking outside rather than watching the door, but maybe it just speaks to the safety of the room. It's the one place he doesn't have to stand guard.
It's odd, because there's so many Glee regulars who he never would've felt comfortable around a few months ago. But now he doesn't care. Most of the kids who tossed Kurt into dumpsters wouldn't dare cross the picket-line into their choir room, and the others... well, they're in the club, working towards the same goals. And it's the same for the cheerleaders, those at the top of the food chain who'd actually stayed out of his way most of the time. Well, some former cheerleaders...
Hearing footsteps, he twists around a little to check the door, still postured and perched on the chair. It's just Quinn, but honestly he's not sure whether they're on speaking terms yet. He offers a slight smile though. He would like to talk to her, compliment her on what seems to be her actual fashion sense. It's nice, if a little bit obvious.
