Excerpts of Skyrim

As you recall, my followers and I sought after the Bow of Ariel and had to traverse through a number of lands hidden within Darkfall Cave to find it. We also met a fabled Snow Elf  who warned of his brother’s capture by, what he called, “The Betrayed” or Falmer elves. He told us the only way to get to the bow was to travel to those very lands and partake in a Pilgrimage. From darkness, to light, and to extraordinary frost, we found the land and made our way into a castle eerily reminiscent of my companion’s Elsa. Eventually we found the brother only to learn he was in fact the lord of these particular Falmer and was also part vampire. He explained to us how he put forth word of the bow in order to bait in a kin of Serana’s family line to come and have their blood used in order to take revenge on Ariel’s creation.

He summoned a number of enemies which we hastily took care of but with my back turned I made the rookie mistake of being baited into a magical explosion. The others went on ahead to confront this Vampire Elf while Serana did her best to awaken me. I wondered briefly, if it were not for her presence (and healing magic) would I have ended up in a similar fate to the body I took this mystical shield from? Never the less in my newly healed, and vindictive form, I corned the elf and asked him to say his last prayers. I was impressed  as the elf did not wish to go down with a fight. However, because he managed to make a fool out of me I let three of my followers attack him with no hesitation. Once he was weak enough I slowly approached him, and drew a crossbow (a “parting gift” from a member of the Dawnguard) and took him out quickly. Soon after a portal surfaced with the better Snow Elf consoling us of bringing the Snow Elves to near further extinction and he gave us the bow and a number of sun Arrows to defeat Lord Harkon.

Our next stop is back to castle to vanquish Lord Harkon. I’ve already spoken to Serana insisting that there is no other way. While speaking in confidence, her body language suggests otherwise... Miku grant us your protection.
