i'm still repainting skylanders, babey
poor drilly spent so much time sitting on my desk in wip hell, but he's finally done. maybe the next repaint will be sooner than 6 months away?
slice and dice, suckers.
i hacked up a chop chop figure and made him articulated because action figures are cool. he's got a buncha ball joints and has 3mm-ish hand-holes so he's (theoretically) compatible with 3mm accessories from other things. this has been a massive undertaking full of challenges and uncertainty, but it is finally done and he's a lot of fun to mess with :D
and the best part? he's poseable enough to do the family guy death pose.
shocking: guy who likes painting skylanders suddenly has a lot of free time, uses said free time to paint skylanders. maybe for a bit i will actually be able to return to the rate i was painting skylanders at in 2023...
anyway, hex! she was quicker than i expected but maybe i should have expected it, considering her entire deal is just black clothes, blue skin, not much else going on.
finally got a chance to use my blue glow-in-the-dark paint too, so she's got that phosphorescent swag.
woah look at me go, more than 1 repaint in the year (i will probably never again reach the highs of 2023 where i was doing almost 1 a month......)
anyway, slam bam. thought he'd be a quick one because i'd only really have to paint his fur and face but i had to redo some parts so it took longer than expected.

finished another skylander repaint! it's been... [checks watch] A YEAR AND A HALF???
wow, i was not lying when i said college would slow down my repaints. which sucks, i really enjoy repainting these guys. anyway, stealth elf.
she also glows in the dark in the same places as her original paint job (i love glow-in-the-dark paint!!!)
hopefully now that i've remembered how much fun this is i'll make more of an effort to sneak in a few repaints when i have free time. here's hoping the next finished repaint isn't a year and a half away LOL

repaints will probably slow down for a while.. i started college this year so that's taking up a good chunk of my time.
a little over a year ago, i repainted a nonfunctioning s1 cynder figure. 1 year of improvement later, i've repainted another s1 cynder (also because the purple paint i used in my first repaint faded in the sun really badly lol)
here's the new repaint compared to my first one. you can really see how badly the purple paint on the old one faded lol
