THE  ROOM  AROUND  them  is  all  but  SOAKED  in  the  WINE  RED  HORRORS  of  blood  .  FLASHES  of  it  splatter  the  walls  like  PAINT  ,  and  even  more  of  it  POOLS  at  leon’s  feet  .  it’s  DRIPPING  off  of  him  now  ,  even  still  ,  until  he  reaches  down  and  PULLS  a  black  bandage  TIGHTLY  over  the  top  of  his  arm  .  he  won’t  NEED  the  cut  there  any  longer  to  provide  him  with  the  EXTRA  BOOST  of  magic  they  both  desperately  needed  ,  not  when  the  silence  of  CORPSES  are  the  only  thing  left to  ring  out  across  the  battle  field  .  things  hadn’t  necessarily  GONE  TO  PLAN  .  at  least  ,  not  in the  SQUEAKY  CLEAN  way  he  suspects  his  HEROIC  ACQUAINTANCE  is  often  PARTIAL  to  .  but  RESULTS  ,  leon  believes  ,  are  EVER  RELIABLE  in  speaking  for  THEMSELVES  .

❛  afraid  of  a  LITTLE  MESS  ,  SUPERMAN  ?  ❜  leon  GLANCES  over  his  shoulder  at  the  other  ,  lips curved  an  almost  CALCULATINGLY  eerie  smile  .  his attention is turned on  the  only  other  man  left  ALIVE  in  the  room  with  him  ;  DISTRUST  sharpening  his  eyes  beneath  the  mask  despite  their  TEMPORARY  ALLIANCE  .  he’s  ❛  TEAMED  UP  ❜  with  a  handful  of  HEROES  before  ,  after  all  . however briefly .  and  NOT  MANY  of  them  prove  THRILLED  when  his  methods  become  a  touch  too  UNSAVORY  for  their  PRISTINE  APPETITES  . 

turning  around  to  FACE  superman  at  last  ,  leon  WIPES  his  blood-soaked  talons  CLEAN  against  one  of  the  many  cardboard  boxes  littering  the  warehouse  .  stepping  forward  ,  he  SHAKES  the  excess  dark  liquid  FREE  from  the  soles  of  his  shoes  —  leaving  in  his  wake  a  trail  of  RED  FOOTPRINTS  .

humour   painted   brooding   snarl   into   a   SNORT,   not   much   could   be   concealed   from   the   other   in   decades   of   camaraderie,   and   bruce   always   suspected   clark's   predilection   for   when   times   were   simple   (   or   perhaps   he   always   wished   for   the   trinity   to   match   suits   .   )   ❛   you've   always   missed   the   blue   suit,   haven't   you?   ❜   treasured   smile   curved   corners   of   lips,   denouncing   amusement   in   the   @skyh0pe   choice   of   words.

"Every day is Halloween when you're me!" And, with that bit of wisdom shared, he whips out a gun. It's loaded with toxin darts, one of which he fires off at Superman.

Which just bounces off of him.

"Oh—"

In his glee at causing some mayhem in Metropolis, he forgot something very basic. A brief lapse in judgment. One he is quick to attempt rectifying by digging in the packs under his cape, searching for a gas bomb. To be fair, Superman is not his primary foe, forgive him.

"Now, if you would be a dear, and wait just a moment—"

he doesn't budge despite knowing who he had in front of him. he's heard rumors that certain hero was in gotham, and a part of him did think he could be in some sort of trouble. but... "is that so..." finally moving and only to bring his cigarette back to his mouth, taking a long drag without effort.

he breathes calmly, staring at the distance. they were near the outskirts of the city, close to a suburb where its community had been barely surviving for years... until cobblepot himself decided to take care of it. they may not be rich, but they lived more peaceful lives, and were at least guaranteed some level of healthcare and education should they work for him.

"that word you used. warned... makes me think you've been talkin' to the wrong people." it's an honest comment. "i ain't about to paint myself like a fuckin' hero. i know what i do n' all the things i've done to get where i am. but you'd 'ave to be bloody stupid to ever consider me a villain." a sentence that by itself was very debatable, depending on who was asked...

the abandoned communities that oswald would help, though? he's certain most if not all would speak highly of him.

"well. shit. that's actually unexpected..." the bingo card was nearly full? with some hesitant and partial acceptance on some, but a surprise nonetheless. no gossiping... that would be a shame, as he happens to enjoy that a little too much. nothing he couldn't get his fix in somewhere else, though. there was plenty of drama anywhere one looked, so oswald would be entertained either way.

"i don't tell you to change and in return you do the same for me. aight, count me in."
