The Skyers - Небесники

An ode to my deceased uncle Junior. I created this painting to inspire young black men to stop killing other young black men. Unfortunately not only are police taking black mens’ lives too soon but black men are taking each other’s lives too soon. My uncle was murdered by another black man most likely for his job as a chef. Similar to nipsey hussle he was murdered by one of his own. I hope this painting at 112 inches will inspire black men to stop killing each other. If I can inspire at least one black man to put down a gun I’ll be happy. I just so happened to finish this painting on the same day my uncle was born. I’m thankful he is always here with my family. I love you uncle Junior and wish both you and Nipsey hussle weren’t taken so soon, but everything for a reason. May you both be more powerful and strong where you are.
