#sky objects

It was a long object with a lot of little twinking lights in it. I'm pretty sure the lights were in rows of 4 or 5, but they were tiny and it was hard to see. The object was very far away and MASSIVE, about 3" long when I put my fingers up to measure it. It moved about the speed of a plane before disappearing behind a cloud. I've never seen anything like it, and at first I thought maybe it was a weird plane but my friend was sure it wasn't a plane. I then thought maybe it's some weird satellite or something Elon Musk shot up there? I have utterly no idea. It was almost directly above where I was standing in northern Idaho, slightly East, at about 1:00 am PST. I attempted a drawing on my phone:

The lights were lower down on the object, and possibly in neat columns, but my friend saw clusters of little lights, like stars or glitter. We saw the same object at the same time but didn't see it the same way. We agreed that it was 3" long and moving and disappeared behind a cloud. We agree that it's possibly man-made. We disagree how the lights acted and how they were gathered. I thought most of the lights had a light yellowy glow and saw some bright blue lights and possibly some reddish-yellow lights (colors in drawing are exaggerated to see more easily). To me, some of the lights twinkled and some didn't. My friend didn't think the lights were different colors or in neat lines. It should be noted that my friend has better eyesight and I tend to see some colors brighter (more saturated) than other people, and I sometimes see things as different colors than other people (it's possible I'm slightly colorblind?). I believe we agree that the object tapered on the left side. And we both saw it moving to the right (from North to South as we faced East).

Can someone with more sky object experience please tell me why this might be happening?
