Skipping Class
I’m not going to class today. Now usually, this soon into the semester, skipping class would not be on my radar. But today is different.
I woke up with a sore throat and no power. My class today was going to be in the library, so that the librarians could tell us about APA format for an hour and twenty minutes. I’ve gotten comments from previous professors on my writing abilities and job well done on the APA formatting. So rather than feel unproductive for that precious time in my life, I have decided to go to my favorite study nook in the library, and have a wonderful study day until my next class at 3:30.
Honestly, as long as you know the attendance policy, you know what will be happening in class, and you know for certain that it would be worth it-- skip class once in a while. We’re adults. Hard working, studious, adults. This is your life, and you should have the choice as to what is a better use of your time.
For me, at this time, it is some alone time with my textbooks and notes.
I hope you study hard today. Work feverishly towards your dreams, and never stop believing in yourself. You are capable of tremendous feats.
Getting into routine early can make all the difference..
