Photo from last year, when Kalopsia was asked to make scarves for Cannes Film Festival 2019. Our hemming department is headed up by Dorcas Bayliss, an industry professional that has been working in fashion manufacturing for over 40 years. Hemmed finishes are a small part of what we do, used mostly for scarfs and on custom products for a handful of clients. They are however an incredibly skilled finish that can make or break a product. Dorcas and the team handle each scarf with care, ensuring a beautiful end-product that both ourselves and our clients can be proud of. This sort of delicate and skilled work and those that can do it needs to be celebrated by us all for their craft and their contribution to our industry.
