Skiing Down from Whistler Mountain, Late on a Winter Day, British Columbia, 2003.
A melancholy memory - my last serious effort at skiing was 20 years ago! The sad realization that place, time and my age, or at least my desire to keep my bones unbroken, have conspired to end my skiing. It was fun while it lasted.
A parade of Januaries, from 1911 to 1939.
I’m lucky enough that I’m not going to need that money the government is sending us to pay bills. I believe instead I’m going to buy an Ikon pass.
I’m going to need friends to ride with here in California.
October 1979 | Vol. 156, No. 4
“Snowbirds: Hundreds of thousands of skiers each winter descend on Colorado, where the nation's greatest concentration of ski resorts flanks the Continental Divide. At Steamboat Springs a downfall of "champagne" - the light dry powder for which the area is noted - heightens the mood at one of the resort's 18 lifts.”

This is the dumbest news I've ever seen
There is no Defeat, just victory! Get you wristband levels now! Here’s for European slope markings Green: Learner slope, hardly any grade at all, may be very wide. Not used in all countries. Blue: Beginner slope. This is usually equivalent to the US “Green Circle” so don’t be confused at an Austrian resort with no “green” slopes. Here, blue is beginner! Red: Intermediate slope. Yep, there’s an extra color in Europe, and red slopes are open for intermediate skiers and boarders to improve their skills. Black: Expert slope. These may range from a normal expert slope like in North America to a super-tough one. But in most places (like the ultra-steep Harikiri at Mayrhofen), there will be an extra sign explaining if the slope is exceptionally hard. #levelup #slopelevels #skilevel #skiiers #skiing #loveskiing #infiniteski #dubaiskiing #dubailove #dubaisports #happydubai #dubailife #dubaistyle #dubaiphotography (at Infinite SKI) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0bJvI7JkLG/?igshid=1fh9dw8h673k7
