        He was a skeksis, a remnant of the star beings who stole her heart so many hundreds of trine ago and who currently hold it still. However, that does not mean that she has allowed it to blind her. How could a creature that was once held captive in ignorance encourage the same in others? 

“Just because our Khrokon gave you such a duty does not make it just,” she retorted, lips down-curling in displeasure. “It infuriates me to see you like this, a talented artisan demoted to spreading around propaganda. Lies are skekSil’s business, not yours.” 

But she didn’t tarry there in order to pick a fight with skekSard. She was far too weary for that, and besides, it was rare indeed that a skeksis greeted her with any modicum of respect anymore. Ever since her own demotion, she had become a mere errand-runner and laboratory assistant, constantly subject to envy and scorn, hardly the Councilor that sat at skekSo’s right hand as they built their empire. 

Thinking back, it was hard for him to recall a moment of peacefulness. It all seemed so hazy and far away that it was hard to grasp just how quickly everything had spiraled down. His ears twitch and sink just a little, a smile full of melancholy taking to his face. 

“I never really stopped to think about it...” He huffed. “Never really appreciated it, but... the days I spent at the castle, before this all started, were probably the best I had. I met Mira there... And Gurjin... Despite how boring it all was on most days, nothing really bad happened if you skipped patrol for a bit to watch the sun set over the valley. Anything hardly ever happened at all, in fact, until...” 

His breath hitched and his ears lowered. 

So I'm doing Art Fight for the first time ever! I'm super excited!

I mostly have characters and creatures from my own stories and lore, but I also have some Skeksis and Gelfling OCs from The Dark Crystal.
