mouth opens but she doesn’t speak. ‘ i ... ’ i can’t get you to your sister. i don’t how to solve the fuel problem. i’m so damn sorry for getting you stuck up here. all things that bothered her but she couldn’t tel them, not to him or to anyone in their family. ‘ i’m fine, bellamy. ’ she settles on that like always despite both knowing she’s lying through her teeth. raven’s always been honest, even to a degree that she shouldn’t but this time she knows she has to bite her tongue.
there’s a pause to get her frustations under control before she faces him again. raven knows him well enough by now, that he won’t drop this. ‘ stop fretting, i’m just tired. ’ so she settles with a half truth and a half smile towards him, tone lighter this time. raven has been overworking herself, and may not sleep as well but it’ll be worth it when they see earth again. however, his concern and care always settles as a warmth in her. it’s nice to have a family again.
