#sk8 edit

So my mutual @painfullyideal and I were talking about colors in sk8 and he connected Reki and Adam with red and I immediately got to thinking about red and it's most common associations with love and anger, and how they're both really rooted in passion.

Reki and Adam are both incredibly passionate people especially when it comes to skating but they express their passion so differently. Reki is enthusiastic and creative, and he wants to share as much of that passion as he can because he just loves to skate that much. He's got that sunny Leo charm (which is why he's also associated with yellow/gold which I won't even start to get into) but he's also stubborn and willing to literally bleed for what he loves.

Adam on the other hand embodies a different kind of passion. His passion comes from previous hurt and pain, which he calls love, because that's what he grew up with. Instead of being vulnerable and potentially losing he sees red (I mean his eyes are literally red but when he goes in for the full swing kiss everything goes red too) and takes it out on his opponent until they're bleeding. (His secondary association with blue also has its own depth but won't get into that.)
