Susan Dennard just posted about how Heart-Threads (romantic partners, in her witchlands series) are not fated and it just made me think of your previous post about her 'break-up' with SJM and I'm just so happy that Susan exists and that she's strongly against the thought of mates.
Kind of funny that I just saw this Ask â because I was thinking the EXACT same thing, Anon. When I saw that Susan Dennard Tweet come up on my timeline, SJM was literally the first thing that came to mind.
For those who are not aware, Susan Dennard â author of the Witchlands â posted this on her Tumblr account a few days ago. Hereâs a screenshot:
As we all know, SJM appears to be a big fan of fated romances given the content of her books. And as itâs clearly stated above, multiple times, Susan DennardâŚis not.Â
Is it just us, or does it seem like the shade Susan Dennard throws at SJM is becoming less and less subtle? You could argue that itâs not shade, but then I came across this in the commentâs section of the Twitter post (in regards to a comment on fates done well â couldnât fit the whole thing in the shot):
âShade is always allowed.â Again, itâs impossible to prove that either of them are referring to SJM â after all, there are a lot of novels out there which deal with those themes â but neither would it be surprising.Â
Hmm.
